Places and the view from the hotel balcony was awesome
The swimming pool, it makes a cherry on cake
The local market was very good and we experienced local authentic food which was very tasty and hygenic too.

Our stay at the Fragrant Nature Hotel was deeply disappointing, falling far below expectations for a property that claims to be a five-star establishment.
Reception: The reception experience was mediocre at best, lacking the warmth and efficiency expected at such a high-rated hotel.
Room Quality: The room we stayed in (Room 201) was in dire need of maintenance. The furniture was chipped, the bedside mats were dirty and overdue for replacement, and the bathroom was the worst part of the experience. It leaked persistently, soaking the floor, and the black mold present was both unsightly and unhygienic—clearly indicating a lack of proper cleaning. Despite raising these concerns with the front desk, the issue remained unresolved; the only “solution” was an extra bath mat to absorb the leaking water. The room’s phone was filthy, adding to the overall sense of neglect, and the complimentary coffee and tea provided were expired, which was completely unacceptable. Additionally, the room’s location at the end of the hall, across from a busy staff area, made for a noisy and unpleasant atmosphere.
Food Choices: The variety of food options was poor, which further detracted from our overall experience.
Service and Staff: The one redeeming aspect of the hotel was the politeness of the staff. While they were courteous, this alone could not compensate for the numerous issues we faced.
Laundry Services: We also used the hotel’s laundry service, which was riddled with problems. The garment count was incorrect (though this was minor given the volume of clothes), and the ironing and folding were substandard. Despite requesting corrections, the results were still unsatisfactory. It was surprising that no compensation or discount was offered for this sloppy work.
The View: The saving grace of the hotel was its extraordinary and breathtaking view, which is perhaps the only aspect that aligns with a five-star rating.
Having visited six hotels on our trip, this was by far the worst experience. Based on the room quality, poor food choices, unresolved issues, and subpar services, I would rate Fragrant Nature Hotel as a 3 star hotel at best. It is certainly not a five-star property, and I would not recommend it to others.

Dear Guest , It is unfortunate that you didn't enjoy the stay with us. and let me take this opportunity to express our apologies as we always thrive to surpass the expectations of our valued guests . our room were refurbished last year and periodical maintenance are also in place and small spaces in the bathroom are filled with clear silicon gel, and is also replaced in regular intervals. We will definitely focus on the cleanliness of room phone that you have mentioned and strict messages has been passed to housekeeping department to look into the same and ensure that it wont be happening again. Regarding the laundry it is learnt that there was 40 pcs given and it was wrongly charged for 41pcs which was cleared and you were not satisfied with the pressing of 3 pcs of shirts which was folded and was redone. It was a error from my associate for which i take the responsibility and my sincere sorry for the same that we didn't offer any discount as service recovery. The items in the minibar and coffee supplies are checked regularly as part of our procedure daily and is is evident from the pics that the items are not expired, kingly request you to change the perception about the facilities and services and give us next chance to surpass your service expectations . We choose this hotel for good reviews but we had terrible experience in many aspects. First, the hotel did not offer the spa service we had in our reservation, citing some ridiculous timing, such as you have to avail by 3pm whereas the spa was open until 9pm. Second, the hotel did not have a bar. Third, the food service is extremely expensive yet quality is not up to mark. Finally, they provide us a room where only glass exterior had people walking few inches away. Overall terrible experience is a so called five star hotel. They provide us rooms where we had to move through rain and stance smell, one of our members fell sick by getting wet in rain

Dear Guest, It is unfortunate that you had rated a single bubble on this platform, as you were aware that we were running on full house and that is the reason why you were not able to be shifted to a higher floor on the check in day and we had shifted to a higher floor on the next day. The complimentary head and shoulder massage could not be given during evening as the slots were booked and we have kept the timing to avail the same from 9 am to 3 pm as per the policy. Location is 5* as it sits on one of the highest points in Munnar and the views are panaromic. Unfortunately that's where the 5* experience ends. We were allocated a room on the bottom floor and requested an upper floor room which we were willing to pay for. After a lot of drama we were allocated a higher level room which we paid for. Not sure what the fuss was about as it was a no- brainer. "Customer wants a better room which is available and they are willing to pay for". Room was nice and spacious with awesome views. But to our shock we were informed that the hotel was dry, The menu offering for dinner was nice but breakfast was very sparse. We do not think in our experience this hotel can be classified as 5 star. It mainly catered to local clientele.

One of the best stays in Munnar. The staff members are very polite and courteous. They have been very prompt with all services and requests. The hotel has ample parking. Drivers are provided with 3 meals, tea and coffee , room to freshen up and washroom facilities. This was not charged to us. We booked a moonlight bliss room and it met all the expectations and was exactly as described in the hotel website. The room had a very scenic view. The rooms are very spacious and are very clean. The washroom has all the needed toiletries and also additional ones are provided on request. The room has a weighing machine and iron board and ironing machine. The black truffle which is a restaurant has really good veg food. The quantity is quite wholesome and the chef will heed to your request. We tried the spa too- the spa incharge Dr. Abhijith explained all the services very well. We were attended by Sijo , Nishitha and therapist Anu who did a fab job. We were very impressed and this is highly recommended.
Overall the stay is very pleasant and would surely recommend this stay for families.

We loved this hotel. The location on a hillside at 5000 feet overlooking the tea plantations was stunning. There is a pool but it was too chilly to go swimming. The gardens around the pool are beautifully maintained. We stayed in the Royal Fragrant Suite which was like an apartment. Nicely appointed and very comfortable. Large outdoor terrace. I'm not sure why someone would give this property a negative review, the staff went above and beyond from the front desk, housekeeping and restaurant staff. There is a balcony off the restaurant which had a stunning view and we enjoyed our breakfast there. There is no alcohol on the property so they sent someone to get me a bottle of wine in town. The young man who does the nature walks is personable, knowledgeable and eager to help. The food was standard Indian fare but in our travels we found that throughout India. It is quite a trek from Kochi to Munnar so I think they did great based on resources available. We did some walks, rode the tuk tuks into town, and relaxed. There are a few excursions but not sure how interesting they are. The town of new Munnar is bustling and a good place to buy spices and tea direct from the source. Not to be missed if you are in Southern India. Thank you Fragrant Nature for making our stay special.

Great location, beautiful views from the room. The staff really go out of their way to be friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Arprita from the reception team who ensured we were comfortable. There are great activities organised by the hotel themselves to the tea plantations and hiking which are good value for money. The only drawback was that the furniture in the rooms had some stains on the sofa, and the hotel may need some slight refurbishment. The infinity pool and gym facilities were great

Our stay at Fragrant Nature was very welcoming. We were greeted and welcomed by the staff at reception. Our family was treated well and all our needs were met. The breakfast was exceptional, there was something to satisfy everyone in the family, from young kids to grand parents. The nice personal touch left by house keeping was nice, a hand written note made the service extra special. I have never seen this in any hotel I have stayed in. The view from the hotel, hotel room, breakfast place and other parts are beautiful.
In particular, the staff at reception, Miss Arprita, staff in the food hall were very welcoming.
