We take the privilege of introducing our firm Woodpecker Holidays, Munnar a unit of Group Farming Corporation India Limited, which is a member of International Eco Tourism Society, U.S.A.The Woodpecker HOLIDAYS in Munnar is located in the lush green hills in Pothamedu, 7 Km form Munnar, situated in the Shanthivanam, the highest peak in Kerala.The villa type cottages built amidst the serene beauty of Munnar provide a blissful ambiance and in the vicinity of Tea Plantations, Cardamom Estates, and tall trees of more than 200 years of age. The way to resort presents the guest a heavenly environment and one can visit Headwork Dam, Pothamedu View Point en route to this resort.At present we have facility to accommodate 23 families in independent cottages at Woodpecker Holidays. On completion of renovation work, 30 Cottages will be ready for operations.In these Villa type Cottages we are providing facility of 1 Bedroom, Living Room, Mini Kitchen, Balcony, which is categorized as Executive Suite and facility of 1 Bedroom, Living Room, Mini Kitchen, Balcony with Carpet flooring and full furnishing which is categorized as Deluxe Suits, to our guests. We can provide 2 Extra Bed in a Suite Room.

Excellent Resort with excellent location located at the middle of a forest , Awesome Experience extremely clean & comfortable . Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the friendly reception staff. Woodpecker Resort is a perfect weekend getaway. The property is maintained with a set of amazing staff to take care of things around. I would highly recommend this resort for people visiting Munnar. The only drawback of the place is that it is on a hill slope, rooms have good jungle views from the resort, and required a walk that may be uncomfortable to kids and elderly.

Firstly, the roads are very bad to reach this destination. Since we had already done a booking through OYO rooms, once we reached there he denied the booking and asked us to pay the hotel amount saying they do not have any tie-up with OYO anymore. No network was available and Hotel inter-com was also not working. He was not ready to resolve the issue and just was greedy about money. Please do not ruin your trip!!

It was an exciting journey to wood pecker which is located deep inside the forest in Munnar. This resort is surrounded by full of trees and green. Sitting in the balcony and listen to the forest was so relaxing. Overall property service was up to the mark and we were really happy about it, thanks to the crew. We heard that roads to woodpecker was damaged during flood and we were concerned about it. Luckily roads are functioning and reaching the property was not difficult at all. Woodpecker is a good choice for people who love to experience some time inside the forest.

Location is wrong in Google maps. Actually location is very interior with no motorable road. High chance of vehicle damage Oyo gives food package however hotel says cannot provide at that price. With 100% money paid you get struck between Oyo and hotel owners. Even after 100% advance payment hotel gives additional bill to make for loss which have taken. Rooms are damp, no WiFi or phone connection available. Intercom was also not working. In middle of jungle so from adventure point location was ok provided you are going by Mahindra 4x4 Jeep.

The resort is located deep into the forest & you can sit in the balcony listening to the sounds of many birds. The room was adequately clean for our requirements. The management was very friendly in accommodating our needs for food, additional bedding etc. There is an absolute beauty of a view point nearby the property but access is restricted to it. The only down side of the property is the drive up to it via Kunjithanni which is very steep coupled with bad road. You are better driving from Munnar even though it is a tad longer.

Nice rooms excellent stay and their service was great. When I visited this resort I booked with the morning breakfast combo, it was awesome really me and my colleagues enjoyed it a lot. The most important thing, it close to all sideseeing.
