This is the best hotel we’ve stayed in on our two week via francigena trip. The room was spacious, clean, not cluttered with nick nacks like most rooms and modern. Good lighting, heat and AC, plenty of hot water, comfortable bed, very warm and helpful host. Breakfast was unimpressive- packaged croissants and danish, juice, yogurt, no fresh fruit. Would definitely recommend the hotel.
We had a great 1 night stay in this small hotel in the center of Camaiore. The rooms are clean and comfy. The hotel has also a great restaurant with the same name as a hotel. The only minus ia that hotel doesn’t have any available parking, so you need to park at the public parking space, if available. You need to be careful, as on fridays there is a market on the main street and you are not allowed to park there. It’s located just 10km from the cost, but when staying there, you feel that you are in the mountain area.
Very nice room on 2nd floor (with elevator), with Air conditioning, small refrigerator, queen size bed. Nice furnishings. Staff was very helpful, despite not all speaking English and us not speaking Italian. Breakfast good -- coffee, cereals, yogurts, and sweet cakes and pastries. We ate at the restaurant outdoors and it was very good, and service good as well. No complaints about this hotel. Nicolette at desk was great. Would stay again. Were in Camaiore visiting our daughter who is a nanny there for the summer and this hotel was located right in centre of historic area, very convenient.
nice place in nice camaiore, should be great location in summer month we had the truffels menu , good food for the price , a bit too much melted cheese and now not the right moment for truffels.House wine was young & plesant We had a good lunch, nothing special but good we had lunch in november in san miniato (pisa province) and there the truffels were excellent.
I stayed one night in this delightful hotel whilst on a walking holiday. It is furnished with interesting period furniture and the room I had at the front of the hotel was very clean and comfortable. (I was pleased not to have been put somewhere at the back as often happens with a single booking.) The restaurant is also excellent and the staff welcoming and helpful.
I've stayed one night at "Le Monache" while a visiting a friend in Camaiore in July 2012. The hotel is small but cozy. My room and bathroom was pretty small but comfortable and at least the furniture was pretty decent. Breakfast was nice with a lot of different cakes. The restaurant area (although I didn't eat any meals there) is actually very nice, resembling a typical Tuscan atmosphere. This is the kind of hotel which is OK for just a couple of nights, but I would definitely get back to it if I've to stay again in Camaiore, as it's anyhow good value for money.
The room we were given looked nothing like the photos of the lovely rooms on the website. Our room was small, the furnishings cheap and the smell of cigarette smoke from the cafe below wafted right into our window. We were surprised as it was off season and the hotel was not full at all.
