My partner and I had booked for 5 days, but only stayed for 2 nights in total. Firstly, I would like to say that the staff, especially Elle, are all very friendly and helpful. Backpackers in general are very casual, and it's usually the vibe one looks for (either you love it or you hate it) But in this case,...

A group of friends and I stayed at Mantis & Moon over the weekend. We met a lovely Greek lady who welcomed us in and had us settled into our rooms. We had a good time and the place was clean for a backpackers. Thank you

I've been travelling South Africa for 3 months now. Been everywhere, tens of backpackers. This one is DA BOMB. Real people, real love, real happiness. Recommend 100% to all those looking for a real experience, a good time, a awesome welcome and a good night dancing non-stop. Unique vibe in S.A. probably in the world. May my path lead me...

I arrived at this backpackers with high hopes and it unfortunately left me very disappointed. The dorms aren't clean - someone had left 3 days ago and their bed was left the whole time, the linen smelt of wet dog, the toilets and kitchen were filthy and there were plenty of staff - outweighing paying guests - and yet service...

We went to Mantis over the New Year period with a group of friends, having heard about it from people who had been there. The backpackers is set in an jungle environment and is full of charm and character. This is the perfect backpackers to go to if you're laid back and in search of a good time. There were...

After a 3 week road trip down the south coast of South Africa, this backpackers was by far the worst of all the backpackers that I have ever stayed at. I don't often write reviews on trip advisor, but in this case I've made it a point to come back after my trip and write this review. I like objective...

Nice setting but the 2 barmen let the place down for their lack of care for customers and shoddy service. All they cared about was getting drunk outside the bar , even when people waited to order drinks they came in sometimes just to get themselves one! I asked one of them about the surf conditions for the next day...

Situated in the jungles just a block away from the beach, this spot is ideal for backpackers and globetrotters, as well as locals who want some time away to chill. Ticks all the boxes for a backpackers, with laidback staff, cold beer, and a very welcome cool pool / warm jacuzzi options. Fairly rustic (lack of aircon, optional outdoor showers,...
