Stopped here for lunch and was impressed from the get go, staff were so nice and welcoming and when the food arrived the day just got better than than I could have imagined. The fish n chips are up there with the best anywhere in Scotland and I should know it's my passion finding them.10 out of 10.

We came here last week for one night (and wished it had been 2). A really lovely family run hotel, friendly and informal with a very personal service - nothing too much trouble. We had a large courtyard room for us and our 2 dogs, who were made very welcome. Great touches such as delicious home made shortbread in our...

Very warm welcome and friendly staff. My room held a bonus...a huge king size bed which was as comfortable as it looked! Dinner in the bar was excellent and included Cullen skink as a starter, washed down with a red wine and Botanist gin and tonic. This hotel is great value for money and is located in a beautiful part...

Just back from a lovely stay at this hotel. We were staying with our 8 month old boy and were given a light and spacious room. Plenty of milk left for tea and coffees. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. The food was great in the restaurant too. Thank you for making our stay comfortable and enjoyable.

What a lovely wee hotel, excellent service, very friendly and our dog was allowed to sleep in our room overnight and he was also allowed in the lounge and bar, which he thoroughly enjoyed. So much better than having to sit in the car. The food was great, and we will definitely return again. Super location, close to Braemar, Balmoral...

We went here with a Groupon voucher for b&b and had a great time. We got room 5, which overlooks the road, with nice views. The room was huge, with a massive comfy bed, and lots of tea and coffee. The bathroom was good, with a modern shower and lovely toiletries. We had a delicious dinner in the restaurant, with...

Would recommend to friends and family. This inn is owned and managed by a lovely woman and her husband. The attention to detail is present in the bedrooms and we had everything we needed (lots of towels, tea making facilities - with plenty of milks, hairdryer, wardrobe with normal coat hangers!). Food is hearty and delicious with a good range...

We spent 2 nights in this charming Inn. It is ideal for the kind of weekend where you can just relax, tour the area or go for a lovely walk in the countryside. The staff are very friendly and make you feel at home. Regarding what clothes to wear here - forget formal dress for dinner. Leave the high heels...
