We have visited this hotel for lunch a number of times and are never disappointed. Great menus with the most fantastic food which is varied enough for most tastes. We enjoy the gourmet options. The process re very reasonable and the wait time is good, the staff are all so friendly and professional, There outside tables for the summer time...

When staying at the hotel I stayed as a solo traveller in Room 11. From the moment I arrived there as a sense of warm homeliness. The décor in the room as lovely and old antique style with golds and red. The hotel itself is cute from the outside and I surrounded in expansive walking trails and green scenery. If...

Our hotel stay was good, however room 11 at top of stairs was rather noisy from the guests and staff downstairs. Staff as always very friendly, but the restuarant service on Saturday was very poor. Delays between courses. From being seated to finishing our sweet took two hours. No apologies until other guests started to complain. The food has always...

Called here for a late tea with my colleague as we'd heard some good reports of the place .. The starter was the pig cheeks which was potentially great, just lacked seasoning.. But cooked beautifully.. The trio of game and stir fry for mains was not so good.. Recommended as it was.. The chef I'm sad to say doesn't quite...

We have visited Tormaukin in the past for DB&B .. It was one of our favourites in the area with good accommodation good food and good service . New management I understand and sadly everything has gone downhill since our last visit. No longer recommended. The room - shower fixings removed from wall and although a lovely bath , a...

We stayed as a family for two nights for a family party. The service from all the staff including the Deputy Manager, the two young ladies who looked after us at breakfast and Logan who looked after our function was faultless and very friendly. Our breakfasts were too quality, we enjoyed sampling the gun menu and the food and wine...

As an infrequent visitor to this restaurant throughout the years, I can safely say that the Tormaukin has went on a spiral downhill. First of all, we ordered a bottle of wine which didn't even arrive chilled...therefore, obviously, it was not as enjoyable as a bottle of £30 white wine should be. Then the starter...I ordered King Scallops and they...

Stopped here for quick refreshment on way home south from short break .Pleasantly surprised by size of portions of tasty sandwiches and soup.Goodvalue for money & pleasant staff. Sat outside in rare warm sunny Scottish weather. On main road but wasn't too busy or noisy. Seemed busier inside & seemed to have nice dining areas. Would recommend.

Another family trip to the Tormaukin for dinner and it was really just the same. It has been through alot of different owners and continued to be to a good class and not much different. However unless in the conservatory it can be quite dark and also has low roofs to toilets which is a struggle. The food is always...
