I had booked a night here with a drive the night away free night voucher and hadn't read thr reviews until after I booked... I wasn't looking forward to my stay after reading all the poor reviews and photos but as it was a free night thought I would give it a chance. We stayed on a Sunday night and...

My boyfriend and I were visiting the Glasgow comedy festival from Sheffield, so stayed in this hotel for two nights. Overall we had a very pleasant and relaxing stay - the staff were friendly and helpful with their local knowledge, and since there weren't many other people staying, we got served breakfast and dinner really quickly! The room was nice,...

Went to this hotel in 2014 for my sisters wedding and it was lovely with great staff. However I went back last month for an overnight stay and was very disappointed with the hotel. The staff spoke very little English, the Wi-Fi didn't work properly, the mirror in the room was smashed and the toilet door had 2 punch marks...

Dropped in to the Burnhouse Manor for afternoon tea. Surprised there were only two couples in the dining room in what I thought was a popular venue. We were in the dining room for about five minutes before a member of staff appeared to show us to a table. We were asked if we wanted tea or coffee. We ordered...

Very disappointing, whilst the waitress was charming the speed of service was appalling. I felt the bread was not that fresh and we were not asked if there were any likes or dislikes regarding the sandwich fillings. I did laugh at the decor in the dining room, 1st impression was a bulk buying trip from IKEA. Definitely will not revisit.

Whether it is a delicious afternoon tea or a tasty family meal the food is always hot and fresh and the service always comes with a smile. It's a fantastic family friendly hotel and equally nice for a girly afternoon tea. Very attentive staff who are always...

We had a 5pm half-price deal for afternoon tea for 4 people, so it was good value. The decor is very nice, but unfortunately the rest of the experience left a lot to be desired. There was no-one there when we first arrived, it was quite cold in the dining room, and when seated, food was slow in coming. I...
