Actual stay was in July 2010. The hotel was booked as part of an organized tour to view the Total Solar Eclipse on Easter Island (Isla de Pascua or Rapa Nui) on July 11, 2010 The hotel was clean and modest. It is about a 10 minute walk to the center of town and also some of the restored moais...

The hotel is not luxury at all and needs a refurbishing but is confortable, clean and the rooms are big. It is within walking distance from the city center (actually it`s a small village) and some beautiful moais. The restaurant is simple and so is the food. For one night stay it was ok.

Hotel-like corridor of rooms or semi-detached cottages with lots of space-- this hotel is an easy stroll into town and, unlike most others in town, facing the water. True, it's not a beach out there, but it's a western view of the Pacific with surfers and paddlers just beyond the restaurant windows. I found the hot water to be temperamental,...

I stayed at Taha Tai in February 2011. As I was settling my bill, they attempted to include a charge for wine and food which I did not order (indeed, I do not drink). I pointed out that the signature on the bill did not match my signature on any of the other bills I acknowledged. After some discussion, they...

Good position, not a hotel to relax in. The swimming pool was dirty as was the surrounds to the pool. The beds comfortable but room not clean and wires hanging out of the wall in the hotel. Terrible smells in corridors from chemicals. Breakfast very average. Not great value for money but everything expensive on island

This is a nice hotel with friendly staff. Our spacious room was next to the Reception area but was still very quiet. We spent 4 nights here which was probably long enough to see the sights. You can hire bicycles, scooters, cars easily although we chose to do a lot of walking inc. up the Orongo Volcano. The hotel does...

I stayed at the Taha Tai Hotel for four nights during Oct, 2010 and I was very happy with my stay there. The owner of the hotel (I think his name was Marcelo) made us feel very welcome, and tried his best to accommodate any requests we had. The rooms were clean and spacious, and the location was excellent -...

We didn't see other hotels, and were on a pkg, so hard to compare. We were in the main part of the hotel where rooms open onto a hallway. There are cabanas that open to the outside. They look newer and more modern. Slow internet connection, and only available in the lobby. Bar was dead and seldom staffed Breakfast was...

I decided not to take seriously the advice from "theworldwanderer"on april2009 thinking it must have been just bad luck. I warn you: it wasn`t. The managemente may even try to post a reply here, its their right but I couldn`t let other people make the same mistake I did. The hotel itself is not realy bad, as everything is expensive...
