You are thousands of miles away from mainland so you simply can't compare a hotel here with some fancy city centre affair in London or New York. Obviously. One of the surprises for me was how good the food in Easter Island was (if they can do it here then someone ought to tell the Canaries to drop the old...

Ruby handled the breakfast room single handed on a busy morning. Everyone enjoyed her service! She was very helpful in providing assistance for any need during a 4-day stay. Terry provided the greatest tour guidance for two full days. We got to see places beyond the regular tourist attractions, accompanied with family stories from his ancestors. What a treat! Terry...

Staff here is exceptionally friendly and helpful. I cannot say enough nice things about them. Any questions or needs that I had around transport or excursions or advice were answered wonderfully. My room was clean and quite comfortable. The mini-fridge and electric kettle came very much in handy. Overall atmosphere is calm and relaxing, yet you're right off the main...

Could not have asked for a more pleasant experience. The owner was amazing and the staff very friendly. We wanted for nothing. Breakfast was made to order each day and the relaxing atmosphere was contagious. Only a short walk from any site you would want to visit and the airport pick up was an added bonus.

Edith and Bill and the rest of the staff do a wonderful job making you feel right at home. The rooms are simple and clean. The breakfast is outstanding, fresh, and changes daily. The coffee is actually good! Airport transfers, tour arrangements, taxis, and restaurant advice are all provided. But the real reason to stay is the warmth, generosity, and...

We spent 3 nights at Taura's and can say that the owners Bill and Edith enhanced our short visit to Easter Island. First of all I would like to say the room is adequate, good size, tea and coffee caddy is handy. Eventhough the rate is not cheap, We didn't expect luxurious room, this is a rather remote island, everything...

The owners were great. Clean room and the airport transfers and tours were great. It was a wonderful experience to be able to make one reservation and to know that we had transfers and tours all schedled too. The specialty breakfast was fantastic.

Located in the middle of Hanga Roa (only town on the island), walking distance to restaurants and the harbor. Not "luxurious" but very clean, good sheets and pleasant set in lush, lovely garden grounds. Owner Edith is the best! As is her husband and the gal who cooked breakfasts. The breakfasts were amazing, best food of the day. If I...

The staff was wonderful.Helpful and very friendly. The rooms were clean but on the basic side. Breakfast was wonderful and different on the two days we were there. Was within walking distance of the town. Bill met us with flowers at the airport. A very nice touch.

Bill and Edith really make this hotel. The rooms/cabanas are quite basic but very clean. Edith takes such good care of you at breakfast - makes you feel as though you are part of the family. And Bill makes an excellent tour guide - he's a great story teller. Thoroughly enjoyed our time on Rapa Nui in no small part...
