If you want something with character to use as a base for cycling or exploring the area then La Cascade is perfect. It is literally right at the foot of Alpe D'Huez. We went as a family and had a one night stay with the Half board option which was very reasonable. We had a great room overlooking the terrace... More

My husband and I stayed here for 5 days to go cycling in the nearby mountains. This hotel is very nice, it has everything you need for a cycling holiday. There is a very nice terrasse out front for enjoying a nice beer or a meal after cycling or hiking. It's a 10 minute walk outside Bourg d'Oisans so it's... More

Myself and 7 fellow cyclists stayed at La Cascade and were frankly blown away by the outstanding hospitality. The proprietors were exceptionally accomodating and friendly and the other colleagues could not have been more helpful and friendly. The accommodation was great and food and drinks service was very good indeed.

Having cycled Alp D'Huez a few years ago I knew a little bit of the area but when I came across La Cascade on Trip Advisor it looked perfect. Situated a couple of hundred meters from the start of the climb it is perfectly located (not for the start of the ride, you need a warm up first) but certainly... More

This echoes other reviews for this great little hotel. Run by very considerate and helpful hosts and helpers, the hotel is very well set up for cycling holidays with a lock up for bikes, lots of advice on local conditions and route cards. Very good quality food and a very nice familial atmosphere. We will definitely be back!
