Nothing like any other b and b really with sweeping drive and grounds in idyllic location on the edge of Goring . Lilac room is enormous - could play cricket in it , and Emma very obliging to feed us breakfast at an uncivilized time on a Sunday morning. Next time we will make sure to eat later and get...

One of the most unique accommodations you'll ever experienced. A large manor located on sprawling grounds, including an indoor pool, tennis courts, and grazing alpacas. Spacious, nicely-decorated rooms. Short walk to excellent dining at Catherine Wheel Pub and at Masoon (excellent Indian menu). If time permits while in Goring, consider easy boat rental on the river's front at the Swan...

Stayed 2 nights in very hot weather at quite short notice. Easy to book with good communication from Emma. Normal check-in is 4pm which some might think rather late although we actually checked in just before midday as this suited both Emma & us. Property is very grand to approach with extensive grounds. Pleasant welcome and shown to our room...

Driving up to the front door is a bit like arriving at a stately home! a large mock castle set in large grounds. The rooms are all very spacious, and are all on the second floor. The stairs are broad and easy to the first floor but after that are steep, narrow and twisting, not easy with a suitcase. The...

This has to be one of the most peaceful, relaxing and charming places we have stayed in for a long time. Emma and David were very welcoming hosts and they have such a beautiful house and immaculate gardens. We stayed in the Lilac room which is huge with a bathroom nearly as big, all windows had lovely views over the...

We had a most enjoyable stay last week; my son and I traded tennis volleys on the immaculate court before walking into the village and having a pizza - very welcoming host and hostess, supremely spacious bedroom, bucolic haven just far enough from the madding crowds of the M4. They even harvest their own honey!! Was rather sad to have...

The lilac room was huge. The bed was very comfortable. Tee and Coffee self service in the room. The ensuite bathroom was a dream of a bath. The location is very quiet and the lamas behind the large garden are very funny. Emma was very kind.

Couldn't fault anything - and the quality and attention to detail was better than some 4 star hotels! We stayed in the Lilac Room which was huge, with a very comfortable Superking sized bed, and a lovely large bathroom with freestanding bath and separate shower. Linen and towels are high quality and there are some lovely touches ( toiletries, shampoo...

Arriving at Friars Ford is rather like stumbling across a film set where a classic Thomas Hardy novel is being shot...... outstandingly beautiful (and much cared for) lawns stretch out either side of the long gravelled drive which leads up to the impressive house. Emma, the charming owner, shows me to my massive, stylishly furnished, bedroom and spacious en suite...
