Visited Kausani and stayed at TRH Kausani in the executive cottage. Very good room worth the price and good view of the mountain ranges. Fodd is ok ok being a government run facility. You have to order in advance but the choice is a bit limited.
We visited with friends in May 22 Nice location Nice food Very cooperative staff ,we book 4 deluxe double beded cottages were very decent and ground floor We stay 2 night here Very plesant atmosphere You can see total view of himalaya peaks from your room Must wakeup early in morning @5.00 clock for sun rise and in evening sunset
The rooms for family which accommodate 4 are very old and desperately need upgradation. The paint is coming off, bathrooms are not in good state for the money they are charging and furniture in room is very old . would not recommend this one for stay for family The in house dining facility is good and people managing it are friendly
Kausani is a small picturesque village in Kumaon Himalayas. KMVN resort in Kausani is at one end of Kausani. It is around 2 kms from Anashakti Ashram. Being at such a remote location has given it a certain charm in terms of the views of Nanda Devi range. The resort itself is spread over large undulating landscape with great views from several vantage points. It is difficult to explain the experience in words. Rest of the things like service, food etc. are all great. Overall, fantastic place to stay in Kausani.
Pretty standard of what you can expect from kmvn. I stayed in the cottage. It had a huge room with a double bed, an attached walk in dressing room, a sit it place with extra bed. The bath room was huge and had hot running water. Due to the monkey menace, which is everywhere in the lower hills, it is requested that you have ur food in the dining hall. However, on special request, they also serve it in your room. Staff are not professionals but helpful and courteous. Nice decent comfortable stay
Best in town with great view of himalaya . Royal Cottages are at great location and would never forget the himalian view. restaurant service is slow but not the bad one. only minus point is the restaurant and reception is 0.5 kms away from room and its slopy ride so its hard to go back from reception
We had the misfortune to have lunch at the KMVN facility in Kausani on 22.07.2021. The entire facility was vacant - not a single guest! KMVN Mall Rd. Ranikhet, where we are staying for four days and are looked after extremely well, had very kindly contacted Kausani to have lunch prepared for the four of us. Unfortunately it was raining heavily so we had no option but to wait for it to be cooked as we reached about 12.00. Getting the 5-6 utterly unwelcoming staff lounging around the reception and dining room, to open a decent room for us to wait in, was a hassle. First dismissed to student-hostel like rooms, after protest, were allowed in to more decent 'executive cottages'. The lunch was tolerable but not of KMVN standards at Ranikhet. However, the bill was inflated and deliberately so - cheating customers with intent and determination. The order for a full chicken - written as such on the bill they prepared - was charged as 4 plates of 2 pieces each. ('full chicken' on the menu is Rs 300 less.) Moreover of the 8 pieces one was missing and was found to have been served to our driver for whom we had ordered as well. Nothing wrong with that except, even though our food was shared with him, an extra charge for a 'driver meal' was levied as well. The person billing and the waiter refused to change the bill voucher and argued stubbornly even after their scam was exposed. We were overcharged by 40% + the taxes, of course, Visitors to the beautiful location of Kausani should not be subject to such treatment in future and leave with the better memories they deserve.…
The KVMN hotel location is just perfect. We stayed in the royal cottage and it was spacious with breathtaking view. The cottages are spaced out in a way that you have enough privacy. All your food and other requests are immediately catered to. Staff is very courteous and food is good. Must stay here if you plan a trip to Kausani.
We stayed at the deluxe cottage and they were very spacious. Had a separate changing room and the balcony having sitting/sleeping option. No cleaning issues. The view from the cottage was simply outstanding. On a clear day the entire range can be seen from the balcony or just infront of the cottage. Tasty foods at very reasonable rate with non veg option available. We took half chili chicken which had a massive portion size. You can also opt room service for snacks.
Place is awesome, room service alright but the property is not well maintained. The bulbs are miising, door locks are damaged etc. There are garbages in various places.A construction infront of the hotel somehow block the view from ground floor rooms.
