We were 4 couples who visited the tooth mountain farms during the COVID pandemic to refresh ourselves and have a short break from the stressed routine and WFH mode of work. It was a fabulous boutique place where we could get the whole property to ourselves and enjoy the hospitality of the great staff at tooth mountain who served us with some fabulously home cooked type farm to table food and ensured that all our requests were well attended and ensured our stay was worth the price that we paid. We will definitely make it a point to book this property more often as it is just 90 mins drive from Mumbai and completely serene with well made large rustic village type comfortable rooms. I would like to make a special mention of Chef Ranjeet who served us with everything we wanted and cooked one of the most delicious meals we have had for a long time. Also a special mention to their Manager Sandeep who was constabtly on his toes to ensure our stay was comfortable and all our request were well taken care with the best of services. The Good: *This farm is gorgeous, surrounded by mountains and greenery. The best are the staff who are local people from nearby villages, very simple, sweet and helpful. Food is decent, healthy substitutes and many options are available. The kitchen staff are eager to please and accommodate requests! The Bad: Rooms need cleaning! This was our first trip in 6 months and the pandemic anxiety was at it's peak. We saw the staff mop floors with a disinfectant, however no surfaces were sprayed with any disinfectant. We had the staff make the place a bit more liveable and used our own disinfectant to spray all surfaces! The ugly: On day 2 staff agreed to make some Chinese dishes but said it would be extra charge as our contract only includes an Indian thali . I was confused as the proprietor had mentioned we could plan the menu (I actually had a WA msg saying the same). I sent a message asking him if he could look into this. The response was shocking! He said that he had given us the place almost for free, that he mentioned menu planning by mistake and that I could leave if I wanted. I wrote back letting him know there was no need to be aggressive and how'd I know his message about offering menu planning was a mistake. But he responded saying he did not have to clarify anything anymore and that I could leave! Having traveled around the globe, I can say with confidence that we have never endured this kind of rudeness, let alone from someone in the hospitality business!

Thank you sukruti for your version of the story, luckily i get to say my version too, so that future guests can decide and build the sequence of events that led up to your "horrible" stay..Sukruti started to send me essays on essays on WhatsApp from the time she checked in - i had given her a fantastic deal with meals included because it is the pandemic and we had just opened, currently our prices are 2.5 times the rate i had given her. Also for only 6 people we opened out all the five rooms to her..We have also started taking walk in guests for our sister concern property art village and there is a section of the restaurant where they can eat and dine, the in-house guests have been given a separate section, but no sukruti thought that for the monies she has paid me, she owns the entire 20 acre property exclusively, that would obviously cost a lot more money, also i am not the one who is entitled but she..we put in a lot of personal attention and detail to what we do, just because we are in hospitality industry doesn't mean that we have to say yes to everything..Sukruti kept complaining about the guests being in the restaurant on a sunday, and sent us photos of cowwebs which didn't exist..my 70 year old mother was luckily on the property that sunday, and she went and spoke to the guests, who were shocked at the immediate response and made a lame excuse that they saw cow-webs in the bathroom and someone was using the bathroom at that time..so basically we get it - the tactic of bringing up problems and complaints incessantly to get more things out of us..Yes, i might have mentioned curated meals, that is the only mistake i made, but realised later when i did my costing, that those would not be possible at the price given to the guests..I instructed my manager Sandeep to take special care of the guests, and hoped that by the next day they would settle down, but they didn't, the rants and the long essays on WhatsApp continued..Then as the owner of the property who was apologising to her at every rant of hers, i decided that i would have to show suruti a mirror, which no one likes to see..i told her that if she was so unhappy with the place and the maintenance (I am not saying this becoz it my property but in a remote area like this, it is one of the best maintained farm houses, and a lot of personal effort goes into it, with an army of staff) she could leave and i would refund her her pending amount..i knew that she wouldn't leave becoz the tactic of demanding more things by complaining had been called out and had failed....we want happy people to come and enjoy themselves..not complain about tomatoes and bindi and cow-webs which are the illusion of ones mind..Best wishes to you! and maybe on your birthday this was a karmic lesson, on how to stay humble and appreciate others efforts to provide you a luxurious accommodation and food in the midst of a jungle and village settings..but i don't expect you understand that!! BTW you can read our website our check in time is 1 pm and you got your rooms soon after that..we have been running a high occupancy..but due to only having 5 rooms on the property we are able to maintain high standards and a personalised service..all rooms are disinfected by Sodium Hypochlorite a WHO recommended Standard operation procedure.

We stayed at TMF for 3 nights with our two children 6 and 8. It was a wonderful escape from Mumbai. The resort is beautifully done up, exquisite in every sense. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable. We stayed in Parijat overlooking the lake. The children enjoyed the games room and feeding the farm animals. The food in the restaurant is delicious. This is a hidden gem.

We have stayed here twice now - very accessible to Mumbai and a pet friendly resort. The food is organic and cooked on the premises. They now also sell bottled products such as jams, pickles and sweets. The rooms are good and the pool well maintained. The major drawback are the bathrooms, which in keeping with the rustic feel, seem to be old fashioned and crude. Cycles are also not readily available and have to be blocked in advance, else it's a good farmstay with warm and helpful staff.

Very good ambiance, artistic decor in rooms ,good comfortable beds/pillow etc, dining area and common areas, super delicious food like home food, many indoor games, for outdoor games equipments provided. Clean Swimming pool ,plant nursery ,art villege nearby, cylcles provided ,staff very courteous, always ready to help, chef made superb food.Worth visiting with 2/3 couples if you need company. Or honeymooners can enjoy Some points to be noted 1.In parijaat room where we stayed for 1 night ,had two steps which were not visible, and 2/3 times we were about to fall 2.very hot in this season i.e. in jan also 3.force of water for filling bathtub is very slow, took almost 2/3 hours to fill 4.cooling of air conditioning is not proper and also felt some mosquitos 5.wifi was not working on the day of arrival 6.i felt beds were little small and also double size blanket should be provided and not single size Overall it was a good experience, still some developments are going on,so hope to have a better experience next time Can definitely recommend for 1/2 nights with some friends or couples
