Considering the price, the rooms are quite terrible, way below a 1* European standard. Added on top is the diving center, which starts operating around 5AM, and the lovely folks there drag the compressed air containers across the stone floor causing quite some noice (try dragging an empty closed pot across stone surface to get the idea). Location is fantastic... More

I wonder why hotels do not show real photos of their hotels and room, or at least not photos that have been taken 20 years ago ! This hotel looks so old and for 2000 thb I think it's a ripoff ! The problem is that maybe all hotels on this beach except the very expensive ones are a ripoff... More

Location was great, at the quiet end of the beach facing the sea. The room I stayed was basic and poor in condition. Thin mattress and flat pillow for the bed. Toilet was filthy and not flushing. Overall, very tired-looking and poorly maintained property. Not worth for the price!

It was a terrible experience. Dangerous sockets made my son got electric shock, Not allowing us to change rooms when they have empty ones, Guys with guns sent to us when we want an early checkout giving up our 50% deposit. With its price, old furnitures, shower not hot and strong, old and relatively dirty bed sheets are expected. But... More

I read the previous review and it pretty much said exactly what we thought, so I will be brief. Great location quiet end of beach but close enough to the action. Huge room's, great balcony and grassy area in front for 5zies. Pretty basic, rustic decor ok if u are expecting something tired and well used. Toilet was broken (a... More

I too have mixed feelings about this resort, as do others. The location is fantastic; on the beach, and far enough away to be private, but close enough to the "action" when you want it. The hotel itself is grossly overpriced, but given the holiday season, it's to be expected. The rooms are very spacious, with big windows and lots... More

I have mixed feelings about this one. Some may love it, others may be less impressed. Initial impressions were poor. If you arrive by road, as I did (rather than walking along the beach), it is not easy to find, down a track with no signs - not even when you get there. There is no proper reception area either.... We paid approx $65 AUD a night to stay here, which I thought was massively overpriced in comparison to what we had been paying for similar accommodation in the Philippines. Rooms are large but ours was over run with ants and other insects as the balcony doors did not shut properly.

This place is perfect for people who aren't into the overblown resort experience. It has the best location on the whole beach, right at the end where it's calm, and huge comfy rooms have big balconies facing the ocean. It's charming and rustic, sure you might find a few geckos in the room when you come home, but that's just... More
