First I would like to say that the pictures don’t do it justice. The location has several buildings, all traditionaly designed, a restaurant and some very nice kiosks where you can eat outside. And a HUGE courtyard including an orchard and part of the forest. In these troubled times by COVID-19 we felt very safe due to this big place, separate dining and sanitizing substance placed in different corners easily accesible. We slept in the building with the restaurant at the ground floor - first room from the stairs. When we had neighbours it was not that quiet as the wooden floor on the porch squeeked. I also advice you to have some mosquito repelant. If you choose to, you can have breakfast and dinner at the location. It’s a standard menu, you cannot choose. The food is traditional for the area, for us it was absolutely fantastic and delicious but too heavy.

We spent at this place most probably the best holiday days and for sure the most traditional end of year party ever. From our arrival we were expected with so much enthusiasm by the hosts who treat us like part of their family. We receive a lot of top quality traditional food and drink. Every day were also events which remind of real romanian culture. The place is in a beautiful area with a lot of interest points (Cavnic ski resort, Village museum, Merry Cemetery, Steam engine train, the road were cars are going on top of hill without driving). Rooms are big, clean, decorated in old traditional style. Hosts are incredible good persons and they are doing everything with passion. I spent the holiday here with 3 foreign citizens which after few hours they were dancing together with other romanians arround, so the organization was top quality. This kind of pension and people make us proud to be ROMANIAN and to promote our tourism. I strongly recommend it! Do not miss it if you are in Maramures County.

A perfect place to enjoy Maramures! Hosts are very welcoming and helpful, food is great and occasionally, a local folkloric group plays for the tourists. The rooms are simple but very clean and you'll find all you need for enjoying your vacation. As well, location is very good as, from Vadu Izei you can easily drive to Sighetu Marmatiei and Sapinta, Birsana Monastery, or to other attractions in the area.
