The hostess made us feel very much at home. We loved our room. It has such a warmth and coziness. The building is a very pretty wood guesthouse with a lovely traditional carved wooden entry gate. Our hostess answered our questions about the area and was very helpful in every way. You will have the option to take evening meals there. Do it! The hostess is a wonderful cook and our meals were tasty and traditional Romanian.

Million thanks to the Muntean family! They were very friendly and they offer us all the support we needed. From the begining they found a car for us to rent. The food was traditional and delicious. We were spoiled with a lot of great food, every day: breakfast and dinner every day plus for the New Year's Eve we had delicious and plenty of food, not to mention the "horinca" local drinks. The rooms were really nice, they kept the traditional design, very cozy, warm and quiet. I definitely recommend this place to all my friends. In the summertime, I bet that I will come back.

I've spent New Year's Eve with couple of friends. Muntean family was very friendly and they were welcoming us with all their help and support. They helped us to rent a car since the first day when we got there. The food was prepared at home, the traditional Maramures food. It was delicious. We were spoiled with "horinca" - traditional drinks. Everything was perfect. Every day they provided us great info and ideas for our new trips around Sighetu Marmatiei. I definitely recommend this place, for the winter time, and also for the summer time. In winter time is like in fairy tales. For sure, I will return with my friends at this amazing place. Million thanks for everything!

We booked for 3 day stay with a guide/driver here and we had such a great time here. Florin was very helpful from the start to finish. His family also very nice and friendly despite some of them dont speak English. Florin also gave us lots of advices with booking train tickets to and from here (he even had to help us book the tickets because the lady at the train station speak minimal English!). He picked us up at the train station very early in the morning and was able to accommodate our request for breakfast at his guesthouse on the spot. He was very knowledgeable when driving us around all over the place and helpful with all of our requests. His guesthouse is also roomy and clean. The foods were all homemade, traditional and very yummy! We were having such a great time there. Highly recommend!

We spent New Year's Eve at Casa Muntean and loved it. The hosts were very welcoming, friendly and flexible with our plans, which we appreciated a lot. Food was delicious and very traditional. We almost never could finish all courses we were served. Rooms are quiet and clean. there's 1 toilet for every 2 rooms, so the shared bathroom wasn't an issue at all. Would gladly recommend this place to anyone!
