While the property is a little down at the heels, this only adds to the charm of this wonderful hotel on the shores of Loch Shiel. If you are looking for a modern hotel with all the trimmings (we were not) this is not the place for you. My only criticism is that considering the money, they could have provided...

Thank you very much for your review and we are happy that you have enjoyed your stay with us. We usually always offer to help bring the luggage to your room and I am sorry if it wasn't in your case. I have addressed this issue with the GHH Team.

We went to visit the glenfinnan monument and having previously stopped In the village for something to eat and going to the train museums dinning car, we thought we'd try the hotel. the reception was warm and welcoming. The lady behind the bar was very nice and chatty and the food we received was top class! it was reasonably priced...

The Glenfinnan sits on the banks of Loch Shiel with views across to Ben Nevis. It is a lovely, traditional old house with wood-fires burning as you enter. We had the Four-poster suite which was enormous and had a separate bedroom for our two children. It had a huge bathroom with jacuzzi bath and views across the loch. The bed...

I left this afternoon after being there for 3 nights for my wedding. It was an amazing experience. I visited the hotel last year whilst looking for wedding venues. Having visted a few we booked this on the spot. It is an old coutry house on the banks of a fantastic loch. It's not a state of the art hotel...

3rd time we have been but this time it's been an 8 year gap, but it was just as welcoming, with 5 star service, 5 star food in a 5 star building and location, but with a very relaxed feel which is hard to find I think.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay with our 11 year old daughter, who also loved it despite there being no TV or WiFi !! Everything was perfect, from the room to the food and location. A lovely, relaxing atmosphere. We would definitely go back.

My partner and I recently stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. We were allocated room 7 and were advised that the hotel was full so there were no rooms available facing the loch. The room was the smallest I have ever stayed in and it was so small that we were unable to put our suitcase on the floor!...

It was hard to rate this one as I thought many things were great. But keeping in mind the rate is on the high end I did expect excellence but came away with "okay that was nice but not great". The area of Glenfinnan is so beautiful and the house hotel itself is both historical and mostly well taken care...

Thank you very much for your review and I am sorry to hear that you found your stay 'just ok'. We work very hard to make everybody's stay with us very enjoyable. All you would expect from a highland hotel, fabulous location on one of the most beautiful lochs in Scotland, really old inside with creaking wooden floors and stairs ( no lifts here), a room that is full of old furniture, and great Scottish fare. We had our evening meal there and thought the food was excellent although arrive early as...
