This was a nice hotel with friendly, helpful staff. The food was good and excellent value for money. The room was clean and quiet. So a perfectly good place to stay if you are visiting this fascinating area and can't get into or don't want to pay to stay in one of the heritage hotels. Top tip - go to...

Cox and Kings (bless them) put us here for two nights. I think you can walk around the town in an hour - here are lots of decaying photogenic houses and piles of less photogenic dogs - but nothing else to do Since the area has 'history' it may have made more sense to stay in one of the historical...

Located in the main village of the area called Chettinad, this rather simple hotel is not the place where to stay if you are just visited this strange area. Strange because this village - like many other ones in this area - shows many many Mansions, Castles in different grade of conservation, from very well maintained - the Mansion or...

We traveled to Chettinad in Sept 2016 and stayed in Chettinadu Court. If you are planning to visit Chettinad to see the famous palaces of the Chettiars and are looking for a comfortable and clean place to crash and relax, Chettinadu Court is the most viable option. It is conveniently located in the heritage village of Kanadukathan with a lot...

Chettinadu Court, unlike other high luxury resorts from same group, was built from scratch as a basic cottage resort. The resort contains 8 cottages, a parallel lawn and a restarunt/reception. As we were two families, we got 2 'connected rooms' which were reasonably sized and furnished. the veg food spreads were great but still we did not believe that is...

We always wanted to visit the Chettinad side and it fructified during the December holidays. One of our travel legs was in Karikudi - we stayed at Chettinadu Court. Small property with only 8 cottages, ensured that each guest gets individual attention. It is not a posh property with 'spoil for choices' amenities - it is a small / homely...
