We were just passing through Neuvo Arenal from La Fortuna to Playa Grande and noticed La Mansion Inn along the drive. The sun was getting ready to set and the view from just the road was spectacular, so we turned around and stopped in for a quick bite & a beer. Our server was extremely friendly and invited us right...

Dear, Thank you for stopping by and we are happy you could enjoy one of the colorful sunsets we have at 5:45 PM, just in front of the hotel, at the other side of the lake!

We just happened to be driving by, hungry, and stopped in for lunch. Great location and incredible views. Food was excellent and the whole family was happy. Staff was very good compared to many other locations on the trip. Views of the lake give this a 5 on its own.

We stayed in the Royal cottage which has three bedrooms and an infinity pool. Perfectly fitted our family of five and gave us a little privacy. Stunning views across the lake. So peaceful. We took a tour which was the highlight of our trip - a short boat ride across the lake, horse ride with Nixon up towards the volcano,...

We spent half our time in Arenal and half at the beach. A few things about LMI. Overall, it was a great stay. It is about 35 minutes past La Fortuna on Lake Arenal. Leo, the owner and patriarch, greeted us and is very funny. Peggy, his daughter I believe, helped us plan excursions in advance via email. She was...

We stayed in cabin #4. Very private porch with a fantastic view of the lake. The grounds are well maintained. We woke to sounds of many different types of birds. There are horses in the adjacent property that help make the scene even more picturesque. The cabin layout is a bit awkward. The master bedroom is elevated in the entryway...

Stayed here for 3 nights with 3 kids and my husband. The room set up was good because we had a separate room from our kids with a jack and jill bathroom in-between, however, there isn't a door to the showers. My 13 and 11 year old were less than thrilled about that. Also, when the kids sat on their...

Dear Pavilez, Thank you for staying with us. There are so many birds over here that few insects can survive.. We put screens and barriers on all the windows, so that you can let them open at night. But the previous guests let the door open when it was dark, and you know that insects are attracted by the light...

I liked the place. I felt as if in Hansel and Gretel. Cozy hotel, good service, good food, great view of the lake. Very peaceful. The only thing is that its a little bit in the middle of nowhere. If you want to rest and find yourself again this is the place for you. Or if you want a relaxing...

Stopped in on the way to Nueval Arenal after a day of hiking and zip lining. Food was ok. Pool and view was fantastic. Worth the stop. Kids swam for 8 dollars each. Great way to end a great day. Service was ok, quick.

We stayed here for 2 nights and had such a good time. The casitas are basic, but nice, and the view is spectacular. It was not too crowded, so we sat in the warm pool in the late afternoon and then watched the sunset. The restaurant was friendly. The food was just okay, as was the wine list. But we...

We arrived In Nuevo Arenal from a long two hours journey by taxi (expensive) from the Nicoya peninsula where the weather was a hot 36 degrees. Alas the drop in temperature in Nuevo Arenal, though expected was around 10/12 degrees lower and the rain constant and plentiful made as feel cold and damp and disturbed our sleep as the noise...

Dear, We send you several emails advising you to rent a car, as taxis are expensive and not very accommodating, unless you rent for $ 150 a taxi for the whole day. But you did not do that. Sorry for you. We agreed that you left 4 days earlier because of the rain, without penalty. All that because you did...
