We are a couple in our 50's and have just spent a week in this hotel as part of a package with Blue Bay Travel. Yes the buildings are a little tired and yes there are some things that appear to be lacking but the...More
We loved the Tropikist Beach Hotel & Resort. The staff were always attentive and friendly. Whilst not a massive range of food and drink, the standard was good. The location is great with easy access to beaches, bars & restaurants. I would recommend The Tropikist...More

It is not far at all. 10 minutes by car. You can rent cars. You can taxi. Some walk. You get to walk up the Main Street and see all the stores and sites .There are bars, places to eat at the point. No lack of food. Lots of stores that sell beer, wine and sprits. Spending a day in my opinion would be a little much. However yes you could make a day of it. Ask the front desk and staff. They have all the information. We took the cool runnings boat tour. It was great. Bring a pack sack and stock up with drink and food. No one cares.
