Ian hosted me and the rest of my family for two nights here and we all had a great time. The house is spacious and beautifully decorated, located in the mountains near the village of Soto de Real. It's a quiet place, yet not overly far from Madrid. Ian was a fantastic host in every way. It was a pleasure...

After 4 days in the center of Madrid it was fantastic to drive 40 minutes north direction and found so nice place. We felt a warm welcome from friendly host. Every morning we fresh baked bread and moffins and we got a good service for what to see and visit in the area close to the place.

We spent two excellent days at Camino de Soto. We arrived late on the first evening and were treated to a delicious meal prepared by Ian. All the food we had over the stay was amazing, especially the home-made bread and the breakfasts. We felt really looked after and there were lots of really nice touches, like a picnic basket...

We were looking for a quiet spot, well located to do various one-day-trips to the magnificent countrysides and villages north of Madrid, that we knew from the years we lived in Madrid 25 years ago, and Camino de Soto exceeded all expectations from the start. Not only the rooms with all their charming details made us feel at home, Ian and...

Ian was in email contact with us before we arrived and gave us his phone number in case of problems. We got lost, I didn't read the directions carefully enough, we phoned and he came and found us. From this point onwards nothing was ever too much trouble. We had excellent meals and the accomodation was spotless. We had the...

We stayed in Camino de Soto 3 nights. We chose this area since we had never been here before. We spent only one day in Madrid this visit. We enjoyed Pedriza park and had a nice trip to Segovia via the mountains. The B & B gives you full privacy and at the same time you enjoy the company, experience,...

I agree totally with all the positive recommendations already expressed on here. Having read these reviews before we stayed there, I can only say that first impressions exceeded our expectations and that the 8 nights we stayed confirmed these. The garden and house are immaculately kept and daily room service means that our room was always spotless. We stayed in...
