My husband and I spent two nights at Kinlock lodge. Great place to unwind with easy access to the Routeburn track and other nearby walks and tramps. Our room with ensuit was comfy and warm. The YHA section was well equipped for cooking your own meals. Kinlock lodge restaurant also has a hearty selection of meals and wine , we...

Best part of the world, private, beautiful lake, mountains with snow on the tops, 15 wood pigeons in the willows by the lake, fishermen in the lake fishing first light, Australian photographers out to capture the beauty while my wife is enjoying the lovely sauna as the sun rises. It might be Paraqdise up the road bu this is heaven..

I haven't been to a more beautiful place in the world. It's an hour from Queenstown and even more magical for it. The photographs don't actually do it justice. Whether you want to get away from it all, go for long walks, ride horses, go canoeing, Kinloch lodge has it all. Make sure you go! And when you do, say...

We spent Saturday night here on this special offer. It includes a lovely heritage room in the old house, a two course dinner and continental breakfast. The old house has been lovingly restored and our bedroom was a cosy heritage nest. Down the hallway were two beautiful bathrooms with a large claw foot bath, shower and lovely bath products. We...

Stayed here one night in a double room. Great little place. Facilities were ok. Community Kitchen superb and a log fire in the community lounge. The toilets weren't great nor were the showers. All I. All though for price and location it was good :-)

Only stayed here for a night, but the people were lovely and the scenery was spectacular. Youth-hostel layout, clean rooms, & good restaurant. No wifi, but is within 3G reception. Kinlock really is in the middle of no where though - nearest store is in Glenorchy which is a 40 min drive, so bring supplies with you. Great place for...

We were delighted to discover this spot at the end of the road on a rainy day! A friendly smile, hot chocolates and a delicious lunch! Service was wonderful and we greatly appreciated the local knowledge on what to do in the area. The advice on the Routeburn track and nature trail for the children, as well as the helpful...

Absolutely beautiful spot, the views are amazing and had the most lovely anniversary there with my partner. We had dinner there and the food was also lovely, great choice with the menu and a good wine selection too, a very romantic setting. The service was extremely good & very friendly. I highly recommend this place!

I visited with a large group for a birthday. Just an amazing setting that is so peaceful and tranquil. Rooms are not modern but have everything you need in this perfect location. I didn't eat in the cafe but the coffee was really good!

I camped here one night before hiking the Routeburn track. The lodge is a ways off the main road, though there's a fair bit of traffic to track starts etc. it's in a gorgeous location and I took a refreshing sunrise swim in the lake. The lodge staff were very welcoming and one of the employees (owners?) even gave me...
