Blanket Bay is spectacularly gorgeous, sitting outside of Queenstown on the lake, the views are amazing. The rooms are luxurious and spacious, and very cozy. Decor of the entire place invites relaxing and enjoyment. The staff is the most helpful in any place I've ever been arranging many excursions, packed lunches for hike and more. The food is exceptionally good...

Perhaps the most spectacular location that we stayed at during our honeymoon. Breathtaking views accompanied by an amazingly charming and accommodating staff. Fantastic meals and a truly relaxing experience, we could not have asked for much more. Also so many sheep. You just gotta love the sheep. [no sheep actually in the lodge]

Enjoying a drop of NZ's finest in the Great Room replete with leather sofas and stone fireplace is as every bit as grand as the natural scenery that surrounds it. Scenic overload is what the femme calls this place. A helicopter lands on the lawn and whisks us up for a few hours of fjord- and -glacier spotting. In the...

The last four days of our New Zealand holiday were spent gloriously at Blanket Bay Lodge 40 km from Queensland. The long ride through hilly terrain with spectacular views of turquoise water and majestic mountains brought us to this splendid accommodation. Our room was divine, very upscale rustic, as private as having our own cottage by the river. The friendly...

An amazing place. Combines the best of a British Country House hotel with the best of an outstanding US ski lodge. The setting is wonderful with lawns down to the lake. Service was both friendly and highly polished. Great facilities, including an excelleent spa.

Hard not to be impressed but the quality and attention to detail the owners and management go to. You pay for it but you get it. I felt very comfortable and enjoyed the excellent service and beautiful swimming pool on the rare occasion the sun shines. I am not a big fan of minimalistic fussy food but they do their...

3.5 Stars Positives: Stunning view Good food Negatives: Lodge lacked character Design of the lodge We really liked our stay at Blanket Bay. Unfortunately, we had bad weather and had to get a little creative with activities. The view is hard to beat. Compared to the other lodges, I personally felt like it lacked character in design and aesthetic. We...

Blanket Bay was a stay we were looking forward to and it didn't disappoint. The lodge is absolutely beautiful and the staff was a joy! We were welcomed at the front door and give a tour of the lodge while our luggage was taken to our room and set up. We were gifted a bottled of champagne in honor of...

We visited Blanket Bay for 4 nights. The food is excellent, love the new pastry chef! The room was spacious and very comfortable, with an amazing view. Nice work out facility. So much to do in the area! Highlight for my husband was having the helicopter pick us up on the lawn of the hotel for our scenic flight to...

We have travelled a lot and have stayed at 5 star hotels in many beautiful places around the world. To be fair, the natural beauty at Blanket Bay and the tasteful elegant interior design at the hotel still made us wow. However, we are disappointed with the service that we receive. There are some staff that are very friendly and...
