We chose this hotel based on the online reviews and the location and from the moment of arrival we appreciated their warm welcome. The lobby has a beautiful high ceiling with an all encompassing air of relaxation and attention to detail. I appreciate the little touches like fresh flowers beautifully arranged at the front desk and the cleanliness throughout the resort. The entire backside of this hotel faces the beautiful ocean and every room on that side has a stunning view. We reserved room 754 and were happy that we chose to upgrade for the deluxe twin suite once we saw it! The room is absolutely massive with a large living area along with a walk-in closet. The bedroom consists of two large beds with a separate toilet room and deep soaking tub and shower area. We especially appreciated the twin sinks in the bathroom with lots of counter space.
All of the employees that I interacted with were very friendly, helpful and personable. I would especially like to acknowledge Mika at the front desk for her warm smile and sincere kindness. She took the time to chat with my daughter and that means a lot because we travel a lot. Also a massive thank you and acknowledgement to Hiroki with the management team. It is obvious that he takes great pride in this beautiful property and he is excellent at his job. He took the time from his busy day to greet us upon arrival and made us feel like a valued guest.
We chose this resort based on the reviews and location but we will continue to choose this resort for the genuinely nice staff members that work there and do a fantastic job taking care of the guests.

This hotel is located just next to American Village where you can find dozens of nice shops and restaurants. Hotel itself is equipped with large two outside pool, one is for children and one for adult and one inside pool with a hot sauna. We used taxi from and to Naha airport, and I could reserve it at fixed rate of less than $40. Hotel also seems to offer free shatle to the airport. On the second day we rent a car, and drove to Chura-umi aquarium, which is regarded as one of the best in the world, It was a nice 1 hour drive. The breakfast include Western, Chinese, Korean and Japanese foods, and of course traditional Okinawa cuisines. We dod not have any trouble to find something new to us for the three breakfasts. Hotel is just built 2014 and everything is clean and beautiful. We used to go to Hawaii big island, and then switched to Guam because of the vicinity from Japan, and now changed to Chatan Okinawa for our summer routine destination. I’m hoping that much of this review well reflect a point in time view of things at this amazing hotel. But things that don’t change are the amazing view of the coastline that you’re greeted with as you enter the lobby. Ok, one of the outdoor pools and the indoor pool are closed until July but this is well announced on the website so no issues here. Similarly the breakfast is no longer served in buffet style but plated up. But even here you have a choice of an American breakfast, pancake breakfast or Japanese breakfast. The service and good were both great. If you’re staying on the executive floor you’ll notice that the lounge remains open for non-alcoholic beverages but the usual appetisers are served in the lobby lounge instead. I was very impressed with this arrangement as the platter selection was well thought out. What I will say though is that there are some rather good paid for burger “sliders” for ¥1600 which are exceptional. Just melt in the mouth. As the service gets back to normal I’m anticipating that things will just get better and better here if not a fair bit busier. Hats off to the team here for making this stay really relaxing and memorable for the right reasons. - also perfect location for the American Village and if you head there don’t forget to try out Zhivagos for a coffee. Just checked-in today and already disappointed with customer service. We arrived in the afternoon coming from Hotel Nikko Alivila which is an awesome hotel. We decided to eat our left over before we walk around American Village since we missed lunch and it was 6pm. The staff has to pick-up the food and deliver it back to the room(their policy). We then went downstairs, saw chairs and tables so we asked the server if we can eat there, it looked like a lobby where guests could lounge and eat. The server said yes, we can eat our own food there so we brought out our food and started eating however, the server came back and told us we need to leave. We then packed our food and asked the front desk where we could eat. The front desk said that because of SOE, we are not allowed to eat anywhere outside of our room. If the reason that we are not allowed to eat anywhere inside or outside the hotel is SOE then why are other people who is buying the restaurant’s food allowed to eat outside of their rooms, around the hotel? We understand and abide by the SOE rule but it didn’t make sense that other people are allowed because they purchased the hotel’s food. We also understand if we are not allowed to eat on the lounge because they are selling their own food, but to say that SOE is the reason didn’t make sense to us. We just came from moving from a different hotel and we were dressed casually. We felt discriminated because of how we looked. Already want to leave this hotel and we’ve only been here for few hours.

After being in other Chatan hotels, I can say this one is near the top in terms of cleanliness and staff friendliness. Food is decent and no major issues during stay. Suggest walking two blocks away to laundromat versus using hotel laundry machines as they will kill your clothes - dryers especially are vent-free and while your clothes are becoming wrinkled for life the room is also sweltering hot and steamy. An ATM in the hotel would have been nice.

My main complaints: 1.) breakfast is expensive and the same every day and also not very many options and don’t have trays unless you ask. I’ve stayed at business hotels in Japan for $50 that have far exceeded the Hilton’s breakfast
2.) no onsen which is pretty standard in Japan
3.) elevator is annoying because you have to always pull out your key even if someone else is in there with you, it’s a silly security thing.
4.) called the front desk probably 7-8 times for various things and no one answered, used every option on the telephone.

One of the best hotel stays in Okinawa. Using the Hilton Honors App we booked our room, checked in remotely, changed our rooms and were able to learn about the facility ahead of time. The staff was very professional and courteous and the entire facility clean with many Covid safe precautions. As Gold Members we were able to have the breakfast every morning and there was a variety of choices that were all delicious. We enjoyed using both Hilton pools as well as the Double Tree pool which was very nice as well. We loved the views from our room and the convenient location to many fabulous restaurants and shops!
