Parking was plentiful, although I didn’t get the chance to use the outdoor parking, as I was always directed to the electronic parking lots. Parking there took some time to get the car each morning and always felt like a rush to pack and unpack our stuff when we collected or dropped off our car at the hotel.

Check-in was easy, and the receptionists could speak pretty decent English. There was an option offered if you did not need daily room keeping, you can exchange for a coupon worth a few hundred yen which could be used at the convenience store.

The room were very good sized and views from the room was pretty decent, with a small balcony in the room. There was tea and coffee provided, along with other useful amenities. We were surprised that they left fresh towels for us at the door even though we elected for the no-room keeping option.

The onsen on the top floor was one of the best hotels ones I’ve been too, with onsen overlooking the sea, and with sauna (which was set a little too warm in my opinion) and cold bath. There was even dispensing machine with milk which you could purchase after the bath.

Location was great too as it was right in the heart of the American Village, where all the action and plenty of food options all around. Price of the hotel kept fluctuating though, and I had to cancel my hotel and do a rebooking as the price fell by half from the time I booked previously, so do check on that for some cost saving.

The staff at the hotel made my 14 day stay a pleasurable experience. The level of service is 5-star. The infinity pool allowed a view of the entire bay and other attractions within Okinawa. The cost is very complementary to the cost of staying at hotel circle in San Diego, California, but without the excellent service provided by the Vessel Hotel Staff provides. The rooms were in excellent condition and massages are available in your room at 1/4 the normal U.S. rate of service. Breakfast: the hotel provides a traditional American breakfast i.e. (eggs, bacon, pancakes, coffee) or an Okinawa breakfast/brunch which includes (baked fish, soup, noodles, pork, rice, salad, chicken, tea etc. Shopping: I found everything I was looking for within walking distance of the hotel. Note: my next vacation destination is Okinawa, Japan, Vessel Hotel Campana

Pros: Location is great, everything is accessible and is central to nice restaurants in the area. Hotel is close to the beach. The breakfast buffet is quite heavenly. It is easily the best breakfast I’ve had in Japan. Everyday, they had my favorites- stewed pork, pork rib cutlet, miso soup, mango juice, a full dessert bar, ice cream, a sushi bar, a taco rice bar and everything you'll ever need to start your day in the island. We only brought backpacks to Japan so I had to do my family's laundry everyday and they had several washer and dryers for the guests. While my clothes are drying, I would go take a bath and dip into the women’s onsen that had different settings- warm, warmer and cold . It was a great way to end my day.
Cons: The room price is hefty. The room size is small for the price but I guess I was paying for all the wonderful amenities. You have to let the front desk know if you need your room cleaned before 10 AM which is a bit strange given the amount paid to the hotel. There is no complimentary hotel shuttle to/from the airport and the airport limousine bus doesn’t pick up passengers to the airport until 8:56 am which was not helpful for our 10:25 am flight. Uber/taxi is widely available though and will cost $40. There is also a small fee to enter the pool.

This was our 3rd stay at Vessel. We keep coming back for a reason! The hotel staff are very attentive and welcoming. The rooms are well priced and comfortable however a little dated and dirty (carpets). The buffet breakfast is fresh and delicious. The two downsides are that guests have to pay for the pool and that guests with tattoos can not access the onsen. I think it is cheeky to charge guests for pool use. In regards to the onsen, I believe you will attract a wider audience if you allow foreigners with tattoos to access the onsen.

I stayed at the high-rise Beach Tower a few years ago, so this time I stayed here for three nights. I was assigned an oceanfront twin room on the 8th floor of the annex, and the view from the window was amazing.
The large public bath I was looking forward to is located in both the main building and the annex, but the sauna and indoor bath in the annex are about three times larger. However, since the annex is larger, there are naturally more bathers (it's so big that it doesn't feel crowded). There were quite a few locals bathing in the annex, who use it as a public bath (they were talking to acquaintances in the sauna).
The bath in the main building is a medium-sized bath, and it is small, but it was empty (the sauna is about the size of 3 people). I felt more private and relaxed here.
Breakfast was a buffet on the 1st floor of the main building. There were a fair number of menu items, so I was satisfied. However, I felt that the number of foreigners was very high (about 70% of the guests were foreigners).
As the hotel is in the center of American Village, there are many souvenir shops, clothing stores, restaurants, etc. in the neighborhood. As for restaurants, there were many places to eat Okinawan cuisine, hamburgers, and steaks, and the menus were all similar, so it wasn't that great. I was also concerned about the prices, which are a bit high for a tourist destination.
If you value being able to do all your shopping and eating within walking distance, and being able to use the large public bath, I think this is a hotel you won't regret choosing.

The location was very good and the rooms were spacious among Japanese hotels!
There was quite a variety of breakfast items and all the food was delicious.
Because it was not the peak season, the annex was not open, and it was a great location for quietly resting, looking around, eating, or shopping.
Compared to hotels in Naha city, satisfaction was much higher and it was a place I would want to visit again.
There are no separate amenities provided in the room, and disposable items are provided in the lobby to be used as needed.

I don't usually write reviews, but I will this time.
I definitely recommend it.
It was conveniently located near the sea and American Village, which was great.
The large communal bath had a great ocean view from the bathtub. The cleaning was also very thorough.
Breakfast: I was able to enjoy a variety of delicious Okinawan dishes. It was very delicious.
All the staff I met were very friendly and greeted me.
I'll definitely go again.

I didn't realize this hotel was a la carte for everything. It's our first time to Okinawa from Tokyo so i wanted to book a hotel close to American good since that's what we miss out on in Tokyo.

Pool costs 1200 adult and 600 child. It's not included in our stay. The info was not on the front page of the hotel website

Beach in unavailable till September. There is construction work. There's a sign in the elevator. There is no sign on the hotel website. We took a 8 min cab ride to the public beach in Araha. To rent parasol there is 800 yen, lounge chairs are 800 yen, and ball is 300 for 2 hrs. Cash only. Taxi is 800 yen one way. The ocean is roped In and there's a lot of people at Araha

No chairs on the lanai. Hôtel does not have chairs to lend out.

I booked what i thought was a good hôtel in the area but i have to pay extra for everything.

Will find other beach the rest of the stay.

My family and I stayed in the ocean view annex for three nights. The view from the room was simply amazing, and we could see the fireworks perfectly. The rooftop pool was a paid experience, but it was a wonderful space that was well worth it. The pool bar had a wide selection of items, and they also offered free swim ring rentals. The large communal bath in the annex was clean, and was very comfortable to use without being crowded. The breakfast buffet was a big hit with the kids, with a corner where you could make your own seafood bowl and a corner with Blue Seal ice cream. We would like to use it again if we have the opportunity.

Due to the nature of my job, I often stay in hotels.
I book hotels because I enjoy the baths and breakfast.
This was my first time staying in Chatan.

Shiroyama Hotel is ranked number one in Kyushu and I thought it was quite good even at a national level, but this breakfast was even better.
The variety, taste, and value for money were all excellent.
From local dishes to classics, everything was delicious, even desserts, which I rarely eat normally.
It was a wonderful day.

This is a hotel where you want to spend some private time relaxing.
