The best airport to land into is Mopa for the property,Including Izumi which is right on the property there are dozens of good restaurants you can just stroll to.Plus a little road side shack selling the tastiest momo's,just adjacent to the property. hence on day 1 we never hired a car, just pool and Izumi. The Rooms are the cleanest,I have ever seen,I would say more than a hotel as I saw this group of ladies cleaning on top of cupboards, and one atop a ladder cleaning the bulb holders. On 2 seperate occasions I saw the rooms being cleaned in between guests similarly. Our Room was cleaned out every single day. And in the middle of rains it was heavenly not to walk into a damp space at the end of the day. The gardens are lovely and full of trees that have stood since propbably 1900.The pool even though is surrounded by tall trees and shrubs there was not a single leaf in the pool.and the Floor despite it being monsoons had none of the slippery feel. There were no loungers out but when the heavens are pouring down, you want to be in the pool. I was most comfortable with morning swims as after 12 the restaurant opens up the space to others. The pool usage though is exclusively for in house guests. Avinash provided milk,a hair dryer,an Iron and a hot plate within minutes of asking. He and all the caretakers are such gems and treat the property and guests like family. There are already cups and spoons and plates provided with a kettle with complimentary tea set up. Never used the Television.but there is one. There is always hot water. The airconditioning effective. (though a point to note is that light goes and it goes often, then on inverter only the fan functions.) The room is highly private and a nice big balcony with numerous chairs.which you may share with lazy cats. The Bed is high and comfortable, a stool would be helpful for times when there are kids. Breakfast is limited in options and served by the poolside.(i would have loved The Moka coffee so please keep it stored for when I am there next:) This Green space with ancient trees made for a peaceful retreat. Cons: There is Zero phone signals, you will get some spotty signals at the gate.

Our accommodation was a spacious, nicely decorated suite of bedroom/bathroom and combined lounge/diner/kitchenette. It does not have cooking facilities and is better for preparing cold food or takeout meals. It didn’t have much natural light (looking onto a block of flats on a few metres away). There was plentiful hot water for showers and air con and overhead fans. BBC news and English language films available on the tv. However we hadn’t realised that the outside terrace space is entirely occupied by a Japanese restaurant. The two areas for guests to relax and enjoy the garden are shabby and uncomfortable. There are metal chairs and tables with no cushions and sun loungers with thin plastic cushions. The pool towels are small and threadbare. There is nowhere to get a coffee/snacks etc unless you eat at the Japanese restaurant! The pool itself is clean and cold. The pool-surround needs some care, as do the paths around the garden (broken/missing). It really feels as though this is all about the restaurant and intagrammable photos, and not the enjoyment of guests. A properly patio’d area for loungers/wicker sofa and chairs? would have been wonderful. We had meant this as time to chill by the pool but instead spent much of it watching TV. The staff, especially Avinash, were lovely. The rooms were kept very clean (daily).

Was looking around for a place in Assagaon to stay 2 nights and landed up at Botanique. It is a quaint place with lovely rooms and tastefully done up. Best part was the easy access to great restaurants all around the area. Izumi has opened up in the same compund as well. They have a lovely pool and the place is pet friendly, my dog had a great time exploring the compound. Avinash was brilliant all through and makes sure your stay is comfortable

We had stayed in may 2019 with our French guests and had a nice time. But this time around we stayed here from the 15th nov coming back here the 2nd time around and are a bit disappointed. The place looks run down now. Although I do sympathise with the owners and the upkeep is difficult in these pandemic times but there is a shortage of staff all over goa but hotels around the area look well maintained. Mr Avinash really runs a one man show but I think it's even beyond him. He's really their man Friday.

I recently came here for lunch, with friends and it was absolutely DREADFUL! As I come from a family of restaurateurs, I understand the pressures of running a business like this but, from start to finish, the food and service where very poor indeed. We waited endlessly for food and drink orders were forgotten. None of the staff were communicating and all we got was shrugs of shoulders. There's too many good restaurants around these days, thank goodness and I won't be coming here again.

Last time I stayed at Botanique in Assagao, I reserved two suites this coming Christmas through a large online booking agent, for a family gathering. After many weeks they wrote and asked me to cancel my reservation because Botanique now wanted to increase their minimum stay requirement. I am now left in a situation with no accommodation after my reservation was confirmed. The hotel has not had the decency to contact me directly or negotiate a longer stay etc. Rates elsewhere have gone up and availability is now very limited as my stay is around Christmas/New Year. My family will be flying to India and were so excited about our plans. Now we have nowhere to stay. I cannot believe that they can just cancel a confirmed reservation when they have availability but, only because they now want a longer staying guest. My last experience with Botanique (before I booked another stay) was as a repeat customer I trusted them to be fair and when checking out I stupidly assumed that as a walk-in customer that they would not charge me more than if I went through the large booking company. I asked why when they are paying no commission to an agent would they charge a repeat customer more who comes direct. They had no answer charged me more and did not care. It's a shame that the owners are hardly every around and seem no longer focused on their business and customer care. Its a beautiful place with a boutique feel, in my opinion, its just missing management and customers service.

Botanique is a Bed and breakfast with lots of warmth in service and also the owners. It’s located in the quiet village of Assagao with lots of very good cafes, stores and restaurants around. It’s close to Anjuna, vagator. Everything was a short ride away. Avinash is the man Friday there who helped us get car rental so it was convenient for us. They have a nice pool surrounded by trees and was very relaxing. They could improve on their breakfast options but we enjoyed the place so much that it didn’t really matter. I can’t praise the hosts/owners enough because they were so warm and friendly. Carol was there to give her shopping and eating tips which were quite spot on. We came away happy. Highly recommend it!!

The lovely quaint hotel at Assagao. Would most definitely recommend it to my friends and family. Would have loved to stay back for sometime more. Clean and spacious rooms. Service is good. Food too is good, but breakfast menu is limited. Pool area is very good, though they could have done some more with the surrounding area and premises.

I booked this property only because of the ratings it had , and I'm happy i did that , situated in assagaon , 1hr 15 mins from the airport , this place has an apt name , nestled in the flora and fauna of goa , a quaint place , run by a young couple Warm , helpful n enthusiastic staff , Huge rooms , almost like a 1 bhk apartment with a kitchenette , minimally done up , but it has its charm , comfortable bed , a decent sized bathroom , a good living room , its a great place for a long stay too .... Good food , good menu , attentive staff made my stay memorable... The pool is gorgeous... Just sit on the lounge chairs and do nothing , be in the nature... Great vibe about the place .... The owners are extremely warm and helpful ... 1 min walking distance from gun powder the famous restaurant .. And its 15 mins to w , vagator or arpora market , centrally located , yet in a quiet area A few things .... U will not find shops close by to buy stuff Renting a car is the best option , which is like 1200 rs a day The rooms dont have hair dryers or great toiletries (not complaining , i didn't pay a huge price to stay here ) Keep some food , just in case u get hungry at night .. u wont find anything post 11.30 around in this area .... I had a super relaxing time here .. will def go back
