Good hotel in a nice neighborhood. Bus tickets are not the same company as tickets within the city, so you'll need a contactless paying card for the vus but that works fine so the location is good. The hotel itself is nice but needs a lot of work. Most of it is shown in the fotis attached like things that need to be fixed etc. Also the staff made us wait quite long for check in and check out. The bed was comfy but you need to know that you have a kind of topper or extra matress with a bedding cover on top of the actual mattress which did not have a cover. Windows could only be opened slightly so nearly no fresh air in the room. Street in front of the hotel is busy at daytime but very quiet in the night. Nice light blocking curtains as well so we did sleep very good:) Lots of sockets also for UK cables. We still enjoyed our stay and would come here again.

The recepcionist was very unpolite and zero helpful. Asking how to go to amsterdam center, her answer was to look for it in Google, talking without looking at us, incredible! The room service did not make the room in the morning Never repeat in this hotel

The hotel looks like it has been recently renovated and is nice and clean. The front desk is open 24/7 and the staff is polite and helpful. The location is not very convenient if you plan to use public transportation (the passes and city cards do not cover that area). Note that if you catch the bus from the closest bus stop the ticket is something like €6.00 per person, but if you catch from the next one, it is €2.50 (the staff were kind enough to let us know). A low point was that we requested an early check-in at 13.00 (normal check-in is at 14.00) because we had a wedding to attend at 15.30, but the lady on the phone refused and was adamant. So we went from the Amsterdam Central Train Station directly to the wedding and checked in late in the evening.

Very good. Modern, clean, and affordable... Except the breakfast, we will get to that. Hotel located on the border of Amsterdam and Amstelveen. About a 20 min bus ride into Amsterdam Central. Less than 5 min walk across the road to the bus stop. Bus goes directly to tourist attractions like the Van Gogh museum. Bus pretty affordable but can be confusing, this is not a GVB bus. So that pass will not work, this is just for the trams, trains, some buses etc but not the ones from this hotel as it is in another town. You can also save about 5 euro per person per trip if you walk another 5 mins to the next bus stop (left when you leave hotel) as this is in Amsterdam. Anyway, back to the hotel. Staff were a little strange, almost shy. However nice and helpful enough. Room was modern (maybe a slight lack of storage space for almost a weeks stay like us), clean (no bed bugs that are common in Europe), and had a wonderful shower. Both the room and shower were always hot and never cold. Great for winter. The bedding and mattress was comfortable. However, the mattress itself kept slipping off the bed and the sheet would never stay on. Both needing sorted every morning. I would advise against getting the breakfast added on, you would be better traveling into Amsterdam and going to one of there many breakfast station's or bakeries. There you could get two meals for less then 20 euro whereas in the hotel it is 17 euro per person per day. The buffet (help yourself) breakfast is fair but limited. Scrambled egg, bacon, some cereals and pastries, and some fruit juice. Soft drinks are extra. Nice but not great and very expensive for what it is. Overall, would highly recommend and stay here again... Fix the bedding and the expensive breakfasts, next time it could be 5 stars ;)

Hotel was nice with a lovely interior. Our twin room was a good size, not too small. Lovely bathroom with a great shower. Beds mattresses were not very good as kept slipping and the sheet would not stay on. Holes ripped in pillow sheets too but were still clean so wasn’t too bothered. Staff friendly. Would stay again, however would’ve preferred to stay somewhere closer to a tram station as was a 15 min walk and we used it quite a lot.

Quiet area near Schipol Airport. Easy to catch bus into city or train station. Enough restaurants nearby to provide a variety of cuisines and a supermarket within walking distance. Our booking included breakfast and I would recommend this. Only issue we found was the bed (or linen/mattress) was very (temperature) hot for sleeping even with windows open.

My husband and I stayed at the Amsterdam Forest Hotel for two nights whilst we were in Amsterdam. The hotel was clean and our room was really nice and very clean. The reception staff were very helpful and knowledgeable and available to assist us with queries regarding buses and trams. Would stay again.

Extremely bad attitude from the reception and managers. They literally told me we don't care about your problems and we can do nothing about them. They left me freezing. My hands were freezing, I had headache due to cold temperatures. It is ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE for the hotel NOT to have an option for the guest to make the temperature warm. They had no heating system, The AC was not working. This is insane!! How can this be normal?? ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE!!! They changed my room and after that they stopped againg the AC in the new room. This was absolutely NOT normal and extremely incorrect. They wanted to save money, and did not install heating system and stopped the AC. On top of that the rooms ARE NOT sound proof as they advertised on the internet. You could clearly hear cars outside and other guests banging the doors when coming in and out. On top of that the breakfast was extremely expensive 17 EUR which is abnormally high for and amsterdam hotel of this level. On top of that they offered no reimbursmenet whatsoever for thse problems!!! All that was a total disgrace. ABSOLUTELY INCORRECT AND NOT NORMAL!!! I am extremely dissappointed.

On arrival I was not aware the money deducted was not off the room but was a security deposit. So this dose not go off your hotel stay. Good to know. Hotel was in a good location. Public transport directly to Amsterdam city. Perfect busses. Did not get a nice welcome on arrival was only told about breakfast times and nothing about the local are we had to ask. The restaurants near by very reasonable and good food. The rooms during our 3 night stay was not cleaned properly such as clean towels and toilet roll or beds not changed or made. Was a triple room but was only enough for two ppl such as only two cups and two shower towel and two have towels has to ask every day for towels and toilet paper. Was given free coffee in first morning as the coffee machine didn't seem to work . But hotel staff came to the room close to 11am to look at it which it then worked. Was locked out of room and main lobby on one occasion as keys didn't work but the hotel staff went to get the keys so finally got in. Could higher bikes for 18 euro for 24 hours from the hotel which was good. For the last day hotel minded our bags after check out and let us use the toilet facilities on waiting on pickup to the airport. Positive close to airport also.
