The hotel it’s okay but after a long wait to do the checkin, I got a room that was not cleaned. So I went to the reception (just one person) and had to wait a long time to get another / clean room. The next day, the room was not cleaned even though I asked at reception for it. The checkout was also very slow, poor customer service with a long wait at reception. I’ll never stay again at this hotel.
I stayed here for almost 10 days because of travelling issues and it was a great place to stay. The hotel had every amenity you needed and the shower was specifically my favourite. I would say, the room is quite claustrophobic after a while so I would only recommend it for maximum a few days to a week.
I stayed here, as a last minute booking following a cancelled flight. Great value for money, a fair distance out of Amsterdam city, so quiet and tree-lined avenue. Very comfortable bed, lovely modern on suite bathroom, modern and clean. Couple of eating places in the area, I can recommend the Pizza shop.
I really liked this hotel. The room was at the back with a view of the forest. The bed was a little soft for me but not uncomfortable. Breakfast was buffet style and there were food options for all dietary needs, including soy milk and yoghurt. The bar was a sort of 'help yourself' and tell reception affair, once they got used to you :-) The staff were pleasant and helpful and the atmosphere was relaxed, even when the Canadian Hockey Team turned up. It would be nice if there were more seating options outside but inside the bar area had plenty of space and was cool and relaxing. I would definitely stay here again. It was 10 minutes walk to the VRA cricket ground which was the main reason for our visit. I also walked in to Amsterdam from the hotel - only 6 miles - but there is a bus and tram service just a half mile walk from the hotel if you are not inclined to walking miles. There are a number of small eateries within a mile of the hotel too for evening meal/lunch with plenty of outside seating if you wish.…
Really enjoyed our 7 nights stay at the Forest hotel . The staff were very friendly and helpful especially Gerco and Mustafa . We chose the hotel as it is only a 10 minutes walk through the forest to the VRA cricket ground . The room was clean and comfy with great blackout curtains . They catered for my vegan partner for breakfast and catered for us both well from the self service at times bar fridges . The lounge is lovely and cool ( was very warm during our stay ). Only slight criticism was the limited outside seating . Our room at the back of the annex next door (603) overlooked the canal and forest which was requested and given. Well done to all the staff there and thank you .
Location is close to Schiphol airport and often plains fly above the hotel however you don't hear them thanks to soundproof windows. It's also 15-20 min with tram or bus from Amsterdam city center and up to 10 min to Amsterdam Zuid station. Behind the hotel (you need to walk around the street) there is large, quiet, and very relaxing park/green area - perfect for a relaxing walk. Rooms in the hotel are not very spacious but they are very well designed so you don't feel any discomfort. Whole facility is very clean, staff is very polite and helpful if you need any assistance or have some questions. Breakfast is in the form of an open buffet, so everyone will find something to suit their dietary needs. I love the fact that you have 2 pillows in your room (soft and hard) - absolutely this made my day.…
Good hotel with nice rooms near the airport by car 15 minutes have to check in late and leave early no problem at all they make a very good breakfast to take away very kind people will come back for sure
We stayed here for 3 nights and it was lovely, the staff are very friendly and helpful, the location is nice and quiet away from liveliness of the centre, just a short bus journey to the station and then hop on the metro for a 5 min journey to centraal station. The rooms were clean and tidy, we didn’t eat here so can’t comment on the food but we would definitely stay here again.
Stayed here for one night (2 persons). Good location in Amstelveen not far from the VU and the Amsterdamse Bos, a little outside of Amsterdam but with a good connection to everything. We had reserved a parking spot on the hotel's terrain for only 10 euros a day, which was perfect. Friendly reception (open all night), nice spacy room with blackout curtains and most importantly, very comfy beds (soft but firm).
A cozy and calm hotel, stayed for four nights. A bit farther away from the Amsterdam city centre, but that was only good in my opinion, since the city has a bit too much hustle and bustle for my liking. As a light sleeper easily waken up by sunlight, I slept well in the dim room. The dim lightning can be a bit hard to see in during the daytime, though. The bed was very comfortable and the nespresso machine was in heavy use. Unfortunately the other furniture was a bit tired and the bathroom had a bad smell. The staff was friendly and the bike rental possibility very good, since you have to travel ~5km to the Amsterdam attractions. I recommend a visit to the Amsterdamse Bos near the hotel! Lovely and fresh.
