Nested near the woods beyond Corbett National Park, FARAWAY Renz is located off the Ramnagar – Rani Khet Highway, near a small village named Ghatti. Built out of stone, the property has a bungalow and six cottages that overlook a beautiful expanse of the Himalayan greens. The snow-clad expanse stand tall in front of the resort providing a mesmerizing view of the silvery-white peaks.
Tucked away in beautiful mountains of Uttarakhand, Faraway Renz is an ideal place to take a breather from the hustle bustle of Urban life and spend some quality time with friends and family or even by yourself. I recently got a chance to visit the place with a few of my friends and from the time we checked in to the day we left, we were convinced we have made the best choice. Great nature walks accompanied by none other than the owner of the resort, Rishi, home-made food, a mini library, thoughtful collection of activities/games and impromptu arrangement of bonfire along with some traditional music. All this made the stay a perfect 'getaway' for us. I highly recommend to anyone who wants to have uninterrupted relaxation in nature's lap.

Stayed at the Bungalow with friends from the 28th oF September for the long weekend. The two bedrooms and the feel of a house in the hills brought back some old memories of small town living and the smaller pleasures of long walks in the open and lazy evenings with hot pakoras. We were lucky to be there on a full moon night and the rising moon was a rare treat to watch Had the pleasure of staying there a few years ago and the repeat experience didn’t disappoint! 👌👏

I booked this place after reading glowing reviews on TripAdvisor. Unfortunately this place is very ,very far from luxury. It's a cute little place tucked away in the back of beyond. Very quiet and very serene. But that's it. The cottages are too basic, used bottles of Pantene and Nivea as toiletries, water in colored plastic jugs which I hope is RO...no mineral water, duvets and pillows which are very dak bungalow like. Bathrooms lacked the hygiene which they did clean up when mentioned. Food ....we had pakoras and chai for tea which were nice and dinner was nice in a homely style. Overall it was very disappointing...and am really surprised how people have given it such great ratings. It's a 2 star property at best. The nicest bungalow is the 2 bedroom one on top everything else is like a Dak bunglow.…

The place is very beautiful and well done. They have taken care of every requirement and provided amenities for the same. The views from the bungalow were amazing. There was so much greenery all around and it was amazing looking at the sunrise and the sunset from there. We were a family of six (us, parents, sister, and our daughter) who went there to celebrate our daughter’s first birthday since we wanted a peaceful and serene place for the celebrations. First of all, we had booked two cottages for ourselves, and they upgraded us to a bungalow, which really made it even more memorable. The hospitality was amazing. The caretaker made an extra effort to help us set up the birthday decorations. And the cherry on the top was the amazing food they served us throughout the time we stayed there. It’s a place we will definitely want to come back to and spend more time!…

If there was one place that could encourage me to keep my phone away, it was faraway renz… the fresh air, serenity, this is a perfect place to go with the family and enjoy a nice stay while living in the peace of the mountains and waking up to the chirping of birds. The food is just excellent. The staff is very nice and ready to accommodate every request. There are plenty of books, games which will never make you feel bored. Its a must if you are looking for peace.

If you are looking for something off-beat, in the Kumaon region in the Himalayas, but not the usual "Mall road" type hill station, then bingo, you have reached the right place at the Faraway Renz. We had planned a 2 night stay at Faraway Renz after a 2 night stay inside Corbett, and we feel it was the best decision as we ended up extending by one more day and we are so glad we did that. The road to the resort is very scenic and when you reach the place you get breathtaking scenes all around the place. A treat for bird and nature lovers, and also for stargazers. A special mention about the hospitality from Mr. Manoj and Mr. Deepu. Vegetarian Food and snacks were delicious and were served piping hot. The corner cottage that we had booked was a cosy place with lawn in the front where you get a 270° view of the valley and hills. The room was well provided with all amenities. On the whole a perfect stay, truly "Faraway" from the hustle bustle of the towns and cities. We give Faraway Renz a perfect 10. …

I visited this resort for 4 Nights and today will be my last day here. No words to describe this place. One has to feel it and enjoy the beauty of this place. Location - Beautiful views around 180 degree. Cannot ask for better place for sure Resort - All stone cottages as it should be in hills. Beautifully designed and natural kumaon look. With sitting area in each cottage - can sit for hours and hours and enjoy mother nature. Cottage ooms - Neither small nor large - just perfect. No bricks, no white wash - simply built of stones with polish over stone giving royal natural look. It has double bed, a double bunk bed for kids, small kichennet and neat clean bathroom. Even a fridge and a TV. Wooden chairs besides the large bay window too. What else one may want? Food - This is my favourite. Though all aspects deserve 5 star rating, I give this one 5+ star. Delicious, hygienic, balanced spices and served with love. Me and my family just loved all meals. Service - Quick and with a 😊 The host is a wonderful person and it's a pleasure to talk to Rishi (owner). Manager and cook - Mohan and Prem always ready to assist and caring. Anything missed? Rest one has to feel it to enjoy it.…

To escape the weekend curfew in Delhi and to liven up the family bonding , our family of 4( me, my wife Shakun , daughter Kritika visiting from Hong Kong & son Arpan , decided almost impromptu to discover this amazing place called FARAWAY Renz and left from Delhi on a very foggy morning of 21/01/2022( for 4 nights ) by our car - piloted by my longtime driver Rakesh who is from Himachal Pradesh & is always ready for such gateways ! Run by Rishi & his wife Nidhi , this property is a gem tucked away in a sparsely populated village some 30 KM before Ranikhet in Uttarakhand, overlooking a beautiful valley with fascinating view of the distant mountains and certainly a go-to place if one is looking for solace and reinventing oneself ! The views from our Cottages were mesmerizing ,with floating clouds , a reluctant Sun , the mystery Moon and pattering of raindrops over the roof of our room - some of which ,me , the amateur photographer , tried to capture through my smartphone ! The team of Prem & Dippu , took good care of us with lovely food with special mention of the Mutton Curry by chef Jaswant ! Afterall , satisfaction of the stomach is mutually inclusive of satisfaction of the soul !! Our trip got really more exciting when Rishi ( my junior from IIT Bombay) arrived with his wife Nidhi & son Chinmoy with Games , music ( played by my son - he had carried his guitar) , bonfire , stories from the past & some animated discussions ! A wonderful experience !!!…
