Great food, awesome and breath taking scenic views, peace of mind, nature at its best, humble staffs and a perfect holiday destination for family and friends. A must visit for the amazing experience. I cannot thank enough the host for building this property in mid of nature. The birds sound , the trek and the water fall, everything was perfect I'm Double Dutch resort. Sure to visit again.
One of the most special places I’ve ever been to - so tranquil, beautiful and we were so well looked after by everyone. Thank you to all at Double Dutch for making our trip so wonderful. Would recommend 10/10!
The Manager Mr. Palraj and his colleague Mr. Tilley warmly welcomed us and given the fact that he had not been expecting us, it was so heartwarming that they extended such genuine hospitality at short notice. We had come on a long journey and they provided us with refreshing lemonade. We enjoyed a most delicious lunch in the most beautiful surroundings I have ever seen. This resort really is Heaven on Earth as can be seen from our photos. I can’t recommend this resort more strongly - its the best.
Nice location amidst green patch of hills & lake . unspoilt nature . Least of damage to the natural setting in creating the resort . With so many options available today , this is a place you want to visit again … Isn't it love then Credit goes to Palraj & his team . so sweet , hospitable & helpful . Ready to make you feel comfy & cool . Good job guys … keep it up … Simon is friendly too and escorts you wherever you go & till he feels safe.
A quiet place, a nice view and a smiling and helpful staff. Good food, delicious breakfast. Interesting suggestions to visit te surroundings. A good place to stop 2 or 3 days and to get another view of the Tamil Nadu.
Good location, Very Good Ambience, Very Good Service extended by their staff, Good Food, Rooms are neat and well maintained. .People who are interested in nature will love this place. Lot of trekking places available. Only few drawbacks: 1) Connectivity over mob is through JIO only and NO TV IN THE ROOM.
Location is good. And this is the only positive aspect. Hospitality was not up to the mark. It is neither a homestay where the owners make you feel home neither a hotel/resort where hospitality is the priority. Food was not good. Dinner was north indian and it was really bad. Staff were receptive and quickly waived off the cost. However, it doesn't help make your stay pleasurable. Swimming pool was not functional. This is the first time when our experience doesn't correlate with TripAdvisor reviews. We somehow kept waiting for the hospitality and warmth that is mentioned in multiple review. May be it is just for foreign tourists.
We had a overnight stay planned at this resort. Although the resort is away from the hustle and bustle of normal life it is an excellent location . There is a sense of complete calmness when you try to venture out in the dark. The early morning walk to the Kamraj lake which is very close to the resort is refreshing and relaxing. The food which was provided in the night to us was awesome and great. The resort is also pet friendly. The resort is equipped with WIFI and the facilities in the rooms which is opposite to the resort are comfortable. Overall it would be a good place to have a get together.
Pleasant resort in Sempatty hills.Perfect for friends get together.Great view of lake from your rooms in your evenings.Afternoon is Hot & humid.Swimming pool non functional.Volleyball court & tasty food & hospitability makes it worth a try.Slightly food is expensive.
It takes a moment to understand the serene beauty of Double Dutch resort. The historic feeling of the main bungalow creates a timeless atmosphere. Easy to imagine the days of the Raj as you sit on the verandah. The superb staff and great kitchen will make you feel that you are a welcome visiting dignitary. We stayed in the main building and extended our stay and stayed in one of the many villas dotted through the lush mature gardens. Stunning views after two minute walk to the lake. We went for a very pleasant stroll past the very basic Shiva shrine under the baobab trees to look at the flying foxes and went for a drive to the nearby Mogul Dindigul fort. If you get the chance do not miss a stay here.
