A beautiful, historic stone-built house right in the centre of a very pretty village near Bath. Lots of stonework and beams inside with sympathetic decoration, a nice bedroom with large double bed, en-suite bathroom (across the hall) and charming hosts. Although the house is right on the road the double glazing keeps the noise down and makes the room warm...

My daughter and I spent 3 nights at The Plaine, Norton St Philip, Bath and it is easily the best B&B I have ever stayed in. The owners Stephanie and Giles couldn't have been more welcoming; the en-suite room with its 4-poster bed and en-suite bathroom was beautifully decorated and comfortable, and there was a huge choice for breakfast which...

Absolutely fantastic place: comfortable, clean, cosy - Stephanie and Giles offer a warm and friendly welcome and make the Plaine a top place to not only go but also to revisit. My partner and I really enjoyed our stay. We explored Bath and took a trip to nearby Wells, a picturesque village - none other than the model village featured...

My husband and I stayed with Stephanie and Giles for two nights recently on a short trip to Bath. Loved the village, the George Pub and The Plaine--it was like taking a trip back in time to visit Shakespeare! The Plaine is very old and charming, and Stephanie and Giles have updated it nicely, making it very comfortable and attractive...

I wanted to whisk my over-worked loved one to somewhere "in the countryside" but with a town of character and interest nearby. So I went online and discovered Bath and it's surrounding villages. I decided on The Plaine, in Norton St Phillip just outside Bath. We had a lovely drive down through beautiful English countryside. On arrival we were greeted...

Just back from an excellent 3 day stay. The Plaine in Norton St Phillip, is about 7 miles from Bath, in a beautiful village steeped in history. There are 2 pubs right on the doorstep, The George, apparently England's oldest, which serves great food in their restaurant, and the Fleur de Lys, which was very friendly for a drink(if you...

Had a lovely weekend break here. Owners give a great personal touch and we felt well-looked after. The breakfast is great and the accomodation is atmospheric and comfortable. It is just outside Bath and the city is serviced by an hourly bus which departs from just outside the guest house. A preferable way of doing things as driving and parking...

Stayed in the Plaine last weekend with my girlfirend. The Plaine is located 15mins drive South of Bath in a small village with 2 really old pubs, the George and Fleurs De Lys. The owners are incredibly welcoming and helpful. The bedroom we had was nicely decorated with ensuite shower/wc/sink. Would definitely stay here again.
