We stayed for a long weekend in an annex room with a four poster bed which was just a bit large for the size of room. Generally the room was comfortable - T/C's were basic (no biccies, I do like a biscuit with my tea, however they did do afternoon tea). Shower room (no bath) was well decorated, looked a...

We live locally but have not visited before .Situated on the A36 roughly half way between Bath and Frome with glorious , relaxing rear gardens , We tried afternoon tea on Mother's Day after reading some reviews . Really our experience could not have been better . We were greeted immediately when we arrived in the rear garden . The...

I visited this restaurant for an early Mother's Day lunch. The building itself is a lovely hotchpotch of architecture and history and sits in pretty gardens. Outside there is a large cage containing two enormous rabbits which my son was thrilled about. We were served by a lovely waiter who could not do enough for us. He was quick to...

This restaurant/hotel is unexpected and quite a surprise. The castellated turrets and garden restaurant is very welcoming. We booked for Sunday Lunch and were surprised to get a table as it was Mothering Sunday and the restaurant is small. Nevertheless we arrived and were met by the front of house and shown to our table immediately. Note: there is a...

Lovely building reflecting its cultural heritage and style. Maintenance the investment is clearly there and it shows in the furnishing and finish having been redo last year. Features reflecting the period e.g. our beautiful French Wardrobe Country Location: Doubt we could improve on it. Car required Comfortable seating and small but spacious there is no sense of claustrophobia here both...

We very much enjoyed the stay, it was very relaxing, rooms were clean, bed was very comfy (we were in a standard room which had a four poster bed) & the shower was fantastic! The general area of the...

Driving by this place we had to stop, if not for an overnight stay, at least a splurge for dinner. We knew we couldn't afford to sleep in a castle but dinner would be alright. It was better than already and Mike, the manager, said there was a room available the following night. Dinner both nights was fantastic and our...

Enjoyed a mini school reunion here for a couple of days. The rooms were well appointed and comfortable. We stayed in a standard room which had a four poster bed. Fantastic shower in the bathroom, the showerhead would suit a Sumo wrestler it was so broad. This is not a castle, but a lodge to a country pile. The only...

Stayed here for two nights. Pleasant stay, we ate here Saturday night and I must say the food was superb!! Breakfast to was super, with good portions & plenty of variety! The only thing I would say our room was rather small.. But on the whole the surroundings the staff were very attentive and very polite.

Fantastic hotel, the staff couldn't have been better with excellent service and amazing food. Only stayed for a couple of nights on a deal, the manager and staff could not have been more friendly and attentive. The wine and food on both nights were absolutely fabulous, we will definitely be returning.
