My second visit and not disappointing at all.They kept the same service.Worth the price paid.Will travel there again for the best onsen.Last year October was here and this Febuary 2016 visited again and was just the same good service and good meals served.Nearby red bridge at the JR station,there is a very good Wagashi (sweet cakes and traditional Japanese cake)...

The place kept it's history and worth the price for kaseki dinner and breakfast with free beverages through the day at the outlets of the hotel.Love all the onsens.Took a taxi from Akayu JR Station to hotel.Were early and can't check in before 3pm.Left our stuff and walked around town to back the station in 20mins.Along the walk,most restaurants were...

The ryokan provided a pickup service from Akayu JR Station. It is located within Akayu so do not expect much in terms of scenery. The buildings and rooms are well appointed and upkeep is excellent. There is a small display of warrior armor and old documents next to the lobby. The onsen is unique in having a couple of baths...
