The hotel was much nicer then the ones I stayed at in Osaka. The breakfast buffet was ok. Very roomy and clean. Staff was very nice as well. Nice views of Lake Biwa and the garden area around the hotel was nice.

This hotel overlooks Japan's largest lake. The rooms are quite big, and the bathrooms excellent. Pity then that the carpets need replacing, as do all the room furniture. The dinner at the hotel was adequate, but not up to normal Japanese standard.

This hotel is a good resort hotel ideal for those who enjoy hot spring and those who come with family. One should not miss the breakfast which is excellent. A walk along the lake shore after meal is a pleasant experience.

We arrived the hotel and greeted with warmth of its surroundings. The hotel is overlooking a large lake and a park. Within is onsen facilities which was perfect for relaxing sore bones. The nabe dinner we had at the restaurant was delicious too.

Had a one night stay at Nagahama Royal Hotel which is conveniently located by Lake Biwa. Group check in was fast as the room keys (actual keys) were pre-packed in envelopes with guests names. Also included was a breakfast voucher for the next day. There was smoke smell once I got to the room floor - permeated the room as...

This is about a 3-star hotel, located on the shores of Lake Biwa. It's quite a large hotel and the rooms are average in size, though the en-suite bathroom itself is small. Room was clean and basic. There is free wifi in the room and it's a decent speed. There's not much around the hotel, except for the park and...

The foyer is very spacious and spectacular, but the rooms aren't. Our Japanese room was tired, drab, bed mattress was too thin, furniture was stained. Too many different levels in the room. My wife fell out of the very, very small modular bathroom into the room "foyer". The bathroom is only one arms length wide and two long. Japanese dinner...

The hotel stands on the shore of Lake Biwa and is about 10, 15 minute walk from Nagahama rail station. In case you have a heavy baggage, they have free transport from the station in the afternoon. However the last transport should leave the station at 5pm. So, if you arrive late with some heavy stuff, the best choice is...

http://www.daiwaresort.jp/en/nagahama/ We stayed here for 1 night on 13 May 2015, traveled with tour of 26 people. The hotel is quite big, located in front of the Biwa Lake, hotel staff were friendly. The hotel souvenir shop and mini market were quite complete and had reasonable price (similar with the shops near the Kyomizu Temple that we visited earlier). The...

Onsen areas is a bit small, no change from last visit 5 years ago Seems no change in hotel room, room size is good but worst part still the bath room which is classic smallest one...
