After a long-awaited family trip, we arrived at the hotel. Mr. Higa helped us get into the room, explained the hotel in detail, and then brought our luggage directly to the room. Our family was fortunate enough to be upgraded to stay on the 14th floor, which had been renovated. The view from the bedroom was truly indescribable. Free shuttle service to the beach, indoor and outdoor pools, and great sunsets were truly spectacular. The next day I went to the breakfast restaurant and had to wait. I entered after waiting for about 10 minutes, and the variety and taste of the food was excellent, incomparable to the Novotel Naha where I stayed the day before. This is a hotel I want to visit again next time. The facilities were superior to those of hotels in Tokyo, Osaka, and Fukuoka in Japan.

First stay at our renovated hotel from the old Marriott.
The front lobby is also large, and the overall atmosphere is relaxed.
This time, they upgraded to the top floor and the view was outstanding.
The basic amenities are in the room, but the additional amenities, next to the front desk, can be picked up, and there's even a split chopstick and spoon, were nice.
The rooms were perfectly fine, beautifully renovated, the beds were queen-sized twins and the sleeping comfort was outstanding. Only the fact that the bathtub and toilet are in the same room preserves the form of the old hotel.
Even in winter, the indoor pool and training room were free to use, which was satisfying for a resort hotel.
I tried the lunch buffet, but it was not satisfying, with fewer items and less quality. It was open only on weekdays and came with alcohol-free food.
It was an off-season stay and it was quiet and relaxing, but surprisingly, the car park was full and there were four elevators, but it was surprisingly slow, so I thought traffic was expected during the busy summer months and felt hesitant to stay during the busy season.

It's a fairly large hotel. We went after Golden Week, so it wasn't as crowded. The views from the higher floors are amazing. It's not directly connected to the beach, but there's a shuttle bus that runs round trip once an hour, so it's convenient. The windows on the side facing the balcony are up to your feet, so it's full of thrills. The bathroom is also spacious and easy to use. The buffet-style restaurant Quachie has so many items that it's hard to choose. The amenity base near the front desk has many amenities and brown sugar available. You can also compare brown sugar from different regions.

I took advantage of the consecutive autumn holidays to visit with my family. You can enjoy the relaxing space like a Resort hotel. The French buffet at the ground floor restaurant was also satisfying, but the pool facilities were so good that the family could enjoy it until late at night.

We had really good stay at the hotel. We arrived to Okinawa after 20h of flying from Europe with a little 4 months boy, so our first days were about adjusting to the local time zone and exploring the immediate vicinity of the hotel. I was a bit concerned about the location (away from the beach), but it was actually a short (less than 10 minutes) walk and due to being located on a hill, there were great views from the hotel. We very much enjoyed breakfast, as the buffet had both local and Japanese options. As an Ambassador Bonvoy member I was upgraded to a room on one of the highest floors, which was appreciated (all suites were already booked). Last but not least, I would like to mention that we met two very friendly employees from Poland: Przemyslaw and Beata. I didn’t expect to meet Polish person at check-in after 20 hours travel from Europe. They were both very helpful and made us feel at home in Okinawa.

Marriott annually celebrates Christmas in a big way every year. Outside bushes to a giant tree inside the lobby were amazingly decorated with 100's of poinsettias was absolutely beautiful. Santa mingling with the guests in the lobby, then making room calls later and delivering presents was magic.

2020 the lobby was clean as a thistle as the Grinch had just been there. No Christmas cake or cookies this year. Staff was not decked in Santa hats, nor a live band playing subtly in the background as in yesteryears. The ritz in executive-level is gone without even a hot dish, and the best service was cheese and bread. Even the small Charlie Brown Christmas tree in the room was gone. Snacks were all in wrappers, it seems that the executive chef and his staff have just left. Missing are many of our favorite staff faces as we have made the pilgrimage to the Marriott for over a decade, but we have finally had it as this was the last straw next year we will seek something new and we can only hope and read something positive in review.

We did a "day-stay" here and really appreciated that we could do so. We were staying somewhere else further up the island with a rather expensive late check-out charge, so decided to spend the day at Marriott before heading to the airport in the late afternoon. The charge was reasonable. We got a nice room, used the pool and ate lunch in the restaurant. Everything was really nice and convenient. The lunch buffet was very good. Seems like a newly renovated restaurant.
There is also a spa and onsen.
This hotel is not on the beach. You will need to take a bus or drive to the ocean.
They have a very big pool, lots of fun.
This hotel is very nice for children, family friendly. Nice service, friendly staff.
Thank you Marriott!

I came here with my wife and two children. I spent 35,000 points to stay here. I was then charged an additional 11,000 ¥ for my two children. We then head to the pool. My son is a great swimmer but can't swim in the deep pool because he is not 10. They can't play with the rolling balls and pool toys without paying a fee. They can't do anything somewhat fun because the charge and have rules for everything. We will not come back here ever again. Another Marriott for sure but not this one!!!!

This is our first time to visit Okinawa. Perhaps we are too spoiled with our holidays in Hawaii, Guam, Saipan, Bali, Australia, Maldives, and Tahiti. We booked the Marriott over Ritz Carlton and Busena because we thought my 4th grade son would have more freedom around the resort but we were wrong. In short, it's too difficult to relax and enjoy yourself here because there are so many restrictions. The majority of the guests are families with very young kids less than 6 years old. Nothing wrong with that if that is what you're looking for or expecting. We weren't. So the pool is very noisy and there are so many rules you really can't relax. Enjoy a beer or cocktail on the lounge chairs, nope, "sorry sir can't drink or eat on the pool lounge chairs." My son was only allowed to swim in the shallow pools where the younger kids and their floating rings were. He got bored so we tried the Kariyushi Beach where Marriott has there own lounge and we could use their beach lounge chairs. Again, more rules rules rules, "sorry sir, you can't snorkel in the ocean." Only half the lounge chairs were being used and I wanted to use one to set my gear on but "sorry sir you're only allowed 3 chairs because you have 3 people." 100 other chairs were empty the whole time we were there. My son and I wanted to train in the gym and they wouldn't let my son in. We are on the executive floor and the rooms smell like tobacco eventhough it's a non-smoking floor. Must be something with their HVAC. We prepaid otherwise I would check out right now. We are going to salvage our holiday by dining at the Ritz Carlton. I have no idea if the Busena or Ritz Carlton are better but I don't recommend the Marriott unless you have very young children and you want to let them scream, don't mind a noisy hotel, and expect any freedom as guests. Okinawa Marriott is in severe need of some Aloha spirit.

We spent six night here and can say that this was a poor choice for us. The demographic of this hotel is 80% young families with most children under the age of five. Therefore noise and yelling everywhere and the major meal spaces are chaos. There is no eating or drinking near any of the pools so the adult concept of having an evening drink outside to watch the sunset does not exist.

This hotel also struggles with English for non Japanese patrons. Having just spent three weeks in urban and regional japan this was our most challenging place to be understood by staff. Service standards are ok, not brilliant. Certainly not as good as mainland Japan.

This place is a long way from anywhere so it is essential to have a hire car. Flexible transport alternatives do not exist. And it will cost you 16000 yen one way by cab from the airport to here.

The beach is below the hotel with a reserved space for Marriott patrons. What is not clear is that you will need to pay another 3500 yen for two lounges and an umbrella for the day.

The rooms are ok and the glassed in balcony area was pleasant. Beds are incredibly hard.

Overall a forgettable venue to spend time if you are not Japanese, not here with a young family, not with a hire car.

You can also take a Bus called the Airport Limousine. They go to most Hotels and would be cheaper than a Taxi. However they only take cash
