The hotel is nice and new decorated. The room is spacious with bath room. Dinner and breakfast are eating at the restaurant instead of the room and was nice. The price is reasonable. We are driving but the location is seems close to JR station.

About 5 minuties ride from Yufuin JR station. You can make a shuttle card reservation with the hotel before your arrival. The hot spring is wonderful, there is outside bath in some of the rooms. Dinner and breakfast are good, especially the beef. Room is spacious and the tatami is clean and good smell.

Yufuin UBL hotel was a luxurious ryokan with very spacious and well appointed room. The one we stayed had separate areas for sleeping, living and bath. Total area was 59 sq m! The living area and private onsen overlooked a private Japanese garden. The inclusive dinner and breakfast were really delicious. The public onsen was nice, clean and spacious with...

Nestled in a picturesque mountain atmosphere, this Ryokan was elegantly different and enjoyable. I have stayed in Ryokan in Japan a couple of times and they are different from Western style hotels. Sleep on tatami mats with bedding and sitting on the tatami at a low table in a fairly small room was the norm. This Ryokan had tatami mats...

Pros: - hotel is quite big compare with other hotel in Yufuin, however it's not very crowd during out stay. We were warmly greeted by the staff upon arrival at Yufuin station. Journey from station from hotel is about 5 mins via the free shuttle. It...

I stayed at this nice hotel on 3 Sep 2014. The hotel has few staffs but great service, They have a free shuttle service between Yufuin Station (or Yufuin Bus Center) and hotel. However, the pickup time is only 4-6 PM. Only baggage transfer is also available and you can stroll along the walking street before heading to hotel. According...

Stayed 1 night in this ryokan which ticked off all the right boxes : good dinner and breakfast, Japanese-style, onsen, well-kept grounds with the rooms in different wings and no high floors. Our room had a long access path which helped to reduce the corridor noise (if there was any) and the view looked out towards the mountains without direct...

We stayed in this hotel on 13/Sept9/13. After a long drive we finally reached this lovely hotel. This is located in a valley and with a small signage outside, so we almost miss it! The hotel staff gave us a warmth welcome and offered us a very spacious room with good view. He gave us a tour of this lovely...

We were due to stay for 2 nights before moving on to Aso but yufuin in itself is such a charming area that we fell in love with it and decided to spend an additional night there. If you are driving there, You will not be able to find the place on GPS so best to probably get the rental...
