Nestled in a picturesque village overlooking the Dhauladhar, this resort is a gem.
The character of their compound is carefully constructed to add on to the peace and quiet. The thing that stood out the most for us was the exceptional service of their staff.
Vineet and Rakesh at the reception along with Abhimanyu and the staff at both The Cliff [their rooftop bar] and The Secret Garden [their in-house restaurant] always wore a warm smile on their face and went out of their way to make our stay that bit special.
Go to this place for their view, stay for their hospitality.

Apart from the beautiful and tranquil space that the property boasts off, the best part about the resort is that it has something for everyone. Whether you are travelling solo or as a couple or a big family group, on a holiday or a business trip- the two restaurants with WiFi, a pottery studio, massive garden area, one can find ample space to spend time however they want to. There are live events held often on their rooftop bar and restaurant The Cliff (view is unbelievable btw), which adds to the whole experience. I attended the Tibet International Film Festival and a live performance by Samar Mehdi during the time that I was there. It is easily accessible and has ample parking space, if you are driving down. There are cottages, suites and luxury rooms, offering accommodation at various rates. All in all perfect value for money!

Unparalleled views, great location, good food, friendly and very helpful staff especially Kamlesh who did everything in his capacity to make sure we have a comfortable stay and the servers but left highly disappointed with the rundown cottage rooms.

We had our room changed but that didn't change anything about the not getting hot water for showers on any of the 5 days we stayed at the property. There was leakage from the toilet which wasn't fixed. For the amount of money being charged per night, the toiletries were very basic.

The bed sheets seemed like they hadn't been washed at all with a very prominent mold smell.

I paid the whole amount and handsomely tipped the staff but I am not happy with the condition of the room and based on the charges warranted for a way better experience. I would like to get a good portion of my payment credited back.

Booked this resort for two nights in the month of October 2011 and had the most horrendous stay of my life ever !!! I have stayed in all kinds of properties - mid sized 3 star hotels to exclusive 7 star resorts and can say this with surety - Blossoms Village is the worst ever. After driving down to the resort from Delhi (12 hours drive), we were provided with a room that had used sugar pouches, fused lights, a refrigerator that didnt work , a toilet with a flush system that was broken, spiders all over the room, welcome fruit basket with rotten apples and a dead spider. And to add to our woes - power failure that lasted from 11pm to 6 am (or maybe 7 am) next morning.

We arrived at the resort at 5: 30 pm, given a room with a view (of construction material and cow grazing grass next doors) and made to wait till 10pm for fixing all the above, which by the way never happened. The manager Lakbir Singh was apologetic but did not change our room or succeed in fixing any of the shortcomings. Infact, he was more than willing to reduce our stay to one night and help us book some other resort for the next day.

The restaurant has a menu of which most of the items were not available. The place has a shortage of staff and no recreational activites (either in the resort or nearby). There is only a small gymnasium adjoining the reception and a pool table. The view is nothing to boast about, and access roads to the resort are all broken.

I sent a mail to the owner - Nalin Chandra who conveniently ignored all the issues pointed out, and refused to acknowledge any shortcomings. I would request all readers to give this place a miss - and am attaching certain pictures to support my claims (more pics can be shared on request). This property is a complete rip-off.

A place with good location as it is out of the town with ample parking. The restaurant indoor as well as outdoor is good and the view of the mountains can be enjoyed along with the sunset in the evening. Bar is also available. Good food and service. Good rooms and huts. You can even enjoy the bone fire on request.

I first discovered Blossoms Village Resort in 2013, when I was lucky to stay there for a month for a retreat held on its premises. Coming from Dubai, this place literally felt like I've arrived to another planet. I would recommend staying there at least for its views, which are breathtaking (try to catch the sunrise at least once). The place itself is extremely cozy and comfortable and will make you want to stay there for longer, no matter how many nights you've booked. The food is also really delicious and staff is always friendly. It feels like you a part of one big family when you stay here.

Rooms are really spacious and even if you want to exercise in the room, there's enough space for that (though I'd recommend doing it on the lawn, breathing fresh air). All rooms and other facilities are kept remarkably clean.

Also try to catch at least one bonfire when its season and if the night is clear you might be lucky to see a few shooting stars (one night, I counted 7 in total).

This place can suit any needs, but I would definitely suggest coming here if you are looking for a serene place with delicious food, attentive staff, and extraordinary views. And if you let go and allow the place to take care of you, you won't be disappointed.

Keep in mind that it's easy to get attached to this place, which can result in new bookings for your next (un)planned visit to Dharamshala. it's also easy to catch a "I need to recommend this place to all my friends" virus after your stay at Blossoms. :)

Stayed at Blossoms: Jan-Feb, July, October 2013; March, November 2014.

We visited this place in July 2014 for 1 N/2D as a couple. This place is terrible.....
1) This resort is situated in Sidhpur village far from Dharamshal/Mcleodganj & you can't experience the beauty of this hill station if you stay here.
2) This is a ghostly place...NOT AT All SAFE FOR COUPLES.... we have booked a cottage after seeing all the photos on its website....but the cottages are far off from the main reception & very near to its boundary wall.... its like you are living somewhere off with no connection to anybody.
3)The cottages were stinky.....like nobody has used & not even bothered to clean them in years.
4) In the midnight...the electricity went off....& everthing was scary dark with rains outside....when i called the reception & enquired about power back-up they told me that there generator is out of service & has been sent for repairs.....wow...what a lame excuse...our trouble didnt ended here...nearly 3 hours after power supply resumed.....somehow the power for our cottage didnt came back...when i again called the reception - the person sitting there told me bluntly that they cant do anything about it at this time of night & we will have to wait till the morning...it was so hot & scary there in that cottage......i mean is this a budget hotel??? They behaved exactly like that....
5) I have prebooked my breakfast & dinner...however we were told that buffets are not possible & we should order la-carte from the menu & that would be adjusted in our bill......the preparation was pathetic & when we ordered a snack( chilli-paneer) they told us that we will have to pay extra...only dal-vegetable-roti & rice would be included free of charges....Juices were not there..they gave us mirinda & limca...
6)There was no hot water available..& only after repeated calling we could get some.
We were so fed up with this place that we checked out the next day & shifted to a place in Mcleodganj
Overall TERRIBLE & HORRIBLE PLACE....DONT GO THERE..DONT BE FOOLED BY WEBSITE

The rooms are great and clean, and we are constantly available to help at all times at the hotel. It is an old property yet we thrive to keep the charm of the place alive. However the choice of hotel is your personal choice completely.

Room tariff
Bengaluru, India268 contributions36 helpful votes
Tariff varies depending on the season and type of rooms. The rooms on the third floor have the best view so are the prices. I had taken MAP plan, which included Breakfast and Dinner (As most places close by 8:30 pm). You can call up the resort and negotiate. The prices given by the resort was lower that travel websites. You need to transfer 50 percent in advance in case you are booking directly with the resort. For three of us, we paid Rs.7500/- per night for the rooms on the third floor and it including breakfast and dinner.
