The camping sites fill up very quickly. They have cabins with hot tubs and grills etc. We opt'd to camp old school out in the wild. You can also choose to camp in the general camping area which that is where I suggest camping because you are with locals. It might be hard to find anything around the camp site,...

The cabins are great. We had a great time. Some of the cabins are pet friendly. Plenty of stuff to do for the kiddos... archery, biking, hiking, paintball, horseback ridding, mini golf. I don't play golf but they have a beautiful golf course too. Restaurant on site is very good too.

We got to our cabins pretty late at night around 8:30 pm but the staff there were very nice to us and even opened the store so we could buy our charcoal for our BBQ. They were also nice enough to provide us with ice and even drove us down to the cabins. We stayed in the standard cabins and...

This was my first visit to Tama Hills Recreation Area. From Camp Zama, Tama Hills is less than an hour away by car. Also, Tama Hills is about a 10 minute walk from the Minami-Tama station on the JR line. Our group of six stayed at Samurai Cabin for two nights. No issues with check-in. Lodging has a small gift...

My wife and I honeymooned there in '89 and spent several weekend get-aways there, while stationed at Camp Zama. The staff are very accommodating and go 'above and beyond' for guests. The hotel store can easily meet the demands of any in-between meal ambush. Would love to go back!

Tama Hills Resort is an amazing opportunity for service members and family members. There are so many choices with this little gem: cabin or hotel room; golf or horse back riding; archery or putt putt golf. The restaurant is quaint and has a nice selection of foods/drinks. The little store in the hotel is more than adequate for any snack...
