Came here as Expedia, advised a previously booked hotel was closed so they offered me this as an altenatived at same room rate (45 per night), I was happy to pay this amount for this hotel. Stayed with my son, as we had a few things planned to do and see in the area. Staff were friendly and helpful, room...

I have never wrote a review on a hotel before however felt like I needed to express my frustration on this hotel and turn others away from booking here!! The receptionist, young lady seemed lovely and polite however the bar man/night receptionist (not sure if he was the manager) made no effort whatsoever to be polite, make conversation, it was...

This seems quite an old hotel. It's got high ceilings and needs some tender loving care all over. What I can say though is that the room we stayed in was roasting. We had two wall radiators and two portable radiators. Obviously the hotel have thought about the happiness of its guest and acted upon it. There's a lot that...

It's always a risk going for something that is not your formulaic Premier Inn or Travelodge yet in the same price range. Sometimes you get a lovely, clean quirky place with details and differences that make it worthwhile and others you get something rather less. The Amblehurst was in the latter category. The staff were friendly enough but the place...

I must start by saying that this was the first time that I had stayed at this hotel. It's very near Old Trafford and had good transport links. What people don't realise is that you have free parking, nice friendly bar staff and friendly receptionist, and fab rooms. It's not the Ritz by any means, but a nice place to...

This was absolutely dire. The place stank of cigarettes and drugs, looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years and generally felt unsafe. I only stayed here because the new Travelodge on the same road was booked up, and I knew that was a good hotel but thought 'Hey, it's fine, this is an independent hotel, it should be lovely!'...

Stayed at the Amblehurst hotel this week. First thing I must mention is the staff at this place are very friendly & very helpful. It's positioned 10 mins cab away from Old Trafford ( Manchester United's football ground ) which is the reason we stayed here. The downside of this hotel is I feel it's very outdated & needs a...

It is what it is! Cheap little hotel good for passing visits and nights out. Thin walls, few odd characters knocking about but it could have been a lot worse. The rooms were clean and tidy, basic but if you just want a bed for the night and a shower in the morning then it's absolutely fine.

It is a 5 minute walk to tram station, which is great for getting in and around Manchester. Free parking at the hotel is a bonus. Staff very helpful and friendly. Hotel was very clean but a bit dated.
