Tried to book direct but website stated no availability. However booking.com showed vacancies so booked up for 3 nights as the location was ideal for staying near family living locally. Unable to specify a room in the main building and was allocated in the extension block at the rear of the hotel which was a bit of a rabbit warren...

we booked into this hotel to attend a 60th Birthday nearby. On arrival we were quickly booked in and shown to our room which was very nice and clean. Kingsize bed which was comfortable and TV which was OK. After returning from the party at about 8.30pm on Sunday we thought we would like something to eat only to be...

We visited this hotel 3rd March for 3 nights to watch the Manchester United game on the 4th. Used the tram which is just down the road, very easy to get to, less than 10 minutes away and also cheap for a return ticket (£2.80). Close to supermarkets and other shops (B&M, Matalan etc) and a McDonald's (3 min drive...

Had 2 nights in this beautiful Hotel, our room in the modern annexe was very big, clean and well furnished. Only had breakfast which was very good on both days. All staff very pleasant and extremely helpful. Only a walk to the Tram station at Brooklands to get into Manchester do very convenient for either city centre or a footy...

From the time we walked in we found the place welcoming. We had a superior room and worth every penny. Food was excellent best we have had in any hotel we have stayed in and hopefully will visit again. Thoroughly recommend it.

We stayed in a 'superior' room in the main building. It was large with a four-poster bed and a sofa. In contrast to the minimalist style common in lots of hotel rooms, this had an old-fashioned charm with floral print curtains and bedding. The bed was really comfortable and we may just have been lucky to visit on a quiet...

This is a very charming hotel the staff make a big effort to make you feel at home, the fireplace and cosy bar make you feel at home away from home, very welcoming, the restaurant food is excellent quality and piping hot, the best meal I have had in a long time and they are very flexible for veggies which...

This review relates solely to the hotel's restaurant. I am one of a party of four (two couples)who for a number of years have dined out together on a regular basis.Having exhausted the restaurants in our local area we were looking for a new (to us)restaurant to visit.Luckily one of our party had hosted a social event at the Normanhurst...

Overnight stay. Clean and tidy. Decor in good condition if a little dated. A decent outlook of the garden from the restaurant. I would recommend this hotel for an overnight stay it is not overpriced and the beds are comfortable which is a big plus
