I stayed at Irupe Lodge for a long weekend at the end of April. Regi was very helpful with the booking and organized a transfer for me from the airport in Posadas (4+ hours drive along dirt roads). I bought a package deal with meals, boat tours and guided walks included. The guide was great - such a deep knowledge...

We drove in to Irupe from Iguacu - transfers arranged by the lodge - and the length of the drive combined with the condition of some of the roads really puts in to perspective how incredibly isolated this place is. If you're expecting TV's in the room, lightning speed wifi and all mod cons, this is not the place for...

We paid 470 Pesos ( ~ 50 US$) p.p. for a simple lunch !!! Totaly 200 US $ for four lunches ! And only cash!! The VISA-Sign on the door is only a joke. It"s a kind of rip-off. It isn't acceptable. We demand an answer from the tour-operator.

Dear Sophie Schmied. We offer meals for the guests who choose to eat at our restaurant, but there is a few fast food places within walking distance from the lodge. The dishes, as you can see in many other comments, are well thought-out three course meals and most high quality ingredients and wines have to be driven in 200 kilometers...

We stayed at Irupe Lodge for 3 nights and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. We enjoyed the activities on offer although we weren't told when we arrived what all the options were and found out from other guests that there was more to do than we realised. However, we had a great day out with a boat ride on the...

We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights and had a wonderful time apart from the rain :-). The hotel ist located directly next to the lagune. We could even see a kaiman from the terrace and quaking frogs at night in the grass with the torch. The room was nicely decorated and spacious. Because of the unstable electricity the...

I loved the location of this place and all the employees were really helpful, especially the lady answering my emails at the beginning. I must have asked her 100 questions and she patiently answered every single one. Also Marco was kind and helpful too. This place is remarkably beautiful and teeming with wildlife. The only thing that made the experience...

The days I spent at Irupe were by far the happiest of my trip through Chile and Argentina, which included such places as the Lakes District, El Chalten, Perito Moreno Glacier, Torres del Paine, Tierra del Fuego, Iguazu and Buenos Aires. The Ibera Wetlands are absolutely magical, and the wildlife blew me away. Capybara, caiman, marsh deer, armadillo, crab-eating raccoons,...

I prefer a no-hassle programme whilst lodging anywhere and this lodge fitted the requirements. If this thatched, yellow pile was any closer to the Laguna Ibera you'd be sharing your bed with an alligator. Our room overlooked the water, the wooden floors adding a cool sensation to the simple furnishings. We chose the two-night package which includes all your needs,...

The lodge is very close to the water and it is easy to discover animals which you will see. The way from/to Posadas is long and if it is raining then you must consider double time for the transport but they have good driver. Very good kitchen! All together too expensive.
