I went to Playa Viva for a Reology retreat. The staff, the facility, and the environment are the best I have experienced anywhere in the world, and I have been to a lot of places. If you are looking for Club Med this is not it. If you are looking for incredibly good food, seclusion, and spectacular beach this is...

Playa Viva was a fantastic place to stay. It doesn't have the rowdy atmosphere you might expect in Cancun or Acapulco. Instead, it satisfies your mind with relaxation, magical views, and amazingly fresh and delicious food. And you get to release baby turtles! Will hopefully be back next year to enjoy it all again.

Amazing everything! Nature: sun, ocean, beach, baby turtles, horses! Genuine and happy people! Best food and drinks (ah, basil margarita!) We just came back after a week long vacation, posted so many pictures and videos on FB, just wanted to share this awesome experience with others and it still does not reveal nor describe the beauty of this place! Yoga...

Just finished a great week at Playa Viva. Located south of Zihuatinejo, Playa Viva is a great place to just escape from the grid, and relax. The treehouse rooms are spacious and comfortable. The beach is secluded and huge--moreover, you have it all to your self. Resort stayers are the primary users. The staff (including Johnny, Julia, Abraham, Olga, Antonio,...

Just returned from my 3rd visit to Playa Viva. This year they have added several new casitas, and I was able to stay in the new Tree House, which is a tubular shaped bedroom open to the breeze and ocean sounds, with an attached open porch/lounge area and bathroom (just down a short flight of stairs from the sleeping area)....

KLD, Thanks for being a frequent guest at Playa Viva. We appreciate your returning again and again to find rest, relaxation, peace, privacy and a little immersion into natural luxury. Glad you got to the one of the first guests to enjoy the new treehouse. Thank you. David

I had heard about Playa Viva about a year ago and just when I was making arrangements for a stay in October, their first treehouse was scheduled to be completed! With great excitement, I booked it and was not sure what to expect. When I arrived it was beyond anything I had imagined. The architecture and design of the treehouse...

After visiting Playa Viva in 2011, 2012 & 2013, it was so wonderful to return in 2015 and open the season with David, Julia, Jonny and the team. Playa Viva is simply special and a great place to unwind & relax. The rhythmic sound of the ocean, the baby turtles, great food, a swim in the pool - WOW! Every...
