Impeccable views, savory food and immaculate service- need I say more? Just walking through the doors of this hotel will render anyone speechless. At first glance, you find yourself staring straight out the infinity-edged pool to the blues skies and cool ocean.

El Castillo staff was helpful and accommodating. Prepare yourself to be catered to. The beaches you can walk to from the hotel will only have a sand bar above water during high tide, so instead, take a 10 minute car ride to the bigger beaches so you can enjoy more time on the beach. From the hotel, you can see... More

First off, El Castillo is the loveliest place we've ever visited. We were greeted by Kurly as soon as we arrived to check in and another staff member brought us our welcome cocktails. I couldn't help but look around and say "this is amazing" throughout the checkin process. The views, the decor and the sounds of relaxation really wowed me.... More

My group of 5 teenaged girls and I decided to be spontaneous and get a sunset drink at El Castillo. Our waiter Dariel was most gracious and the drinks were great. The manager Scott happened to greet us and gave us a crash course about the property. Unbeknownst to us, there was a sushi bar, but unbeknownst to Scott, we... More

Enter through the front doors to the breathtaking view of the lounge, infinity pool, river, Pacific Ocean and sky. This is a do not miss for any trip to southern Costa Rica. The staff, including Scott, the most gracious general manager, Gerson, Zoe, Harold, and Kerley, are all very friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and focused on providing you with the best,... Wow, so hard to describe this place. Small, 6 rooms, and thus cozy and very personalized. Attention paid to every little detail. Wonderful fresh breakfast anytime after we woke up. Spectacular view from our ocean view suite to the jungle as well as the private island/beach. If you like to read and enjoy napping the upgrade to the suits are... More

A little further down the road but well worth the extra few minutes. With only five rooms we were pampered to the extreme. Scott, the General Manager is the greatest guy and Herson was was always ready to help but I am sorry I didn't get names of the other staff members because they all bent over backwards to ensure... My wife and I went to Costa Rica for our honeymoon and stayed at El Castillo Hotel for 7 nights. I was amazing. The rooms were beautiful and clean. The food was amazing (My favourite was the Red Snapper in Saffron Sauce!). And the staff were incredible. Very nice and helpful.

We passed by to have a look and had a drink. Decided to go back the following day to have dinner. Gerson's service was one of the reasons and of course.... the views. Amazing. Dinner was good. Two different chefs (a sushi chef and a pastry chef) came out to explain what they had made for us, which I thought... More
