Good place, beautiful garden and tasty food. Have some small nice zoo. Free gym and also interesting pool in the garden with some cascade. The suit #3 was excellent, in very good conditions with buffet breakfast. Highly recommend!

I'm not an expert in El Salvador accommodations, but after a few visits to the country this hotel was one of the nicest in the area around Ahuachapan. The grounds are quite amazing, was quite and the breakfast we were served was good. It is a good bit up the mountain so if your working down in the 'city' it... More

There weren't a ton of people at the hotel when we stayed there so it was a bit quiet, but I can see how it would be a fun place for a reunion or group retreat. Dinner was good and the garden grounds nicely cared for. Clean rooms, but lukewarm shower water.

The atmosphere around the hotel is great. The wooden cabin feel of the hotel makes for a charming, pleasant visit. Certain things need an update, however. The beds weren't very comfortable, making us all a little cranky in the morning and the restaurant is closed very early (around 6pm). Breakfast was included and quite good, although the coffee left something... More

Hotel Alicante is great for an experienced traveler, but would be a disappointment for someone accustomed to only chain and 4/5 star hotels. This quiet resort features two floors of rooms, each with a shared front porch and relaxing chairs out front. The gounds are meticulously landscaped with sorts of flowers and other plants. The birds in the canopy are... More

I stayed here for 6 nights with a group from Habitat for Humanity. Our rooms were clean, it's always damp here, the laundry service was usually prompt and really, it was pretty good value. Our stay included breakfast and dinner, always plentiful and generally quite good. The grounds are really pretty, and the staff were very friendly. There were several... More

I stayed here with a tour group in Sept. 2013 for one night. A high wall surrounds the property with a huge wooden security gate opened by an armed guard. The place looked very nice from the outside, sort of a western flavor with a long porch with wooden chairs. Upon opening the door to my room, I was almost... More

This was a quick impression since we only stayed one night and left early in the morning. Keep in mind that my expectations were set for a clean decent lodgings and not a luxury resort. We stayed overnight on the second floor in the last week of December. We were a party of four. Our room was no frills and... More

If you don't like dirt, bugs or mildew, avoid the place. I was there on a group tour, so somewhat trapped there. When unwrapping the hand towel in the bathroom, a black bug about 3/4" long jumped out and promptly disappeared. (I slept with that door closed.) Another person in the group saw something like a millipede in their bathroom.... More

When we arrived at this hotel in mid-Decmber we were the only guests. For this reason the pool the restaurant closed early (6pm) and the pool did not look ready for guests. The small zoo and playground was a hit with our children. The tipico breakfast was also good. We stayed in the two botoom floor rooms of the main... More
