A place that I keep on returning since 1958, always good food and good company. The staff always have a smile for you and are always helpful. The activities staff are a great bunch sharing their knowledge of surrounding rain forest with the guests.

Great staff. The activities were fun with very knowledgable guides and the food was lovely. Mountain View rooms and bathroom very tired - needs a complete refurb. Also very noisy rooms with other guests walking past directly outside. Also the walls appear to be very thin - guests next door had a four hour argument and we heard all of...

We recently stayed in one of the Mountain Villas at O'Reilly's : two bedroom, two ensuites, queen foldout, large kitchen, comfortable living areas, gas fireplace, hot tub on spacious deck, with uninterrupted panoramic views to Mt Lindesay. Constant birdsong. Fresh air. Four teen and pre-teen girls kept well-occupied with numerous bushwalks, flying fox/ziplines, Birds of Prey show, glow worm excursions,...

The rooms are pretty dated but close to the main reception and easy access to all walking tracks. We asked for a cot and this was supplied with bedding. There's no TV which we found a bonus but you do have a small bar fridge in the room which worked well for the baby's milk and there were wine glasses...

Our second year spending 3 nights at O'Reilly's in July was fabulous. Some great walks, awesome sunsets and quiet evening meals made for a relaxing stay. The staff made us feel at home again. We will be back next winter for what looks to be an annual trip. Thank you, Tara.

loved it. Was not prepared for the narrow winding road up there but once became aware of the give and take give way set up felt easier. Big breakfast was beautiful and then only needed some fruit for lunch. staff and fellow visitors very friendly as found it easy to meet and chat at morning and afternoon teas. would have...

We stayed on a package - stay for 3 nights pay for 2. Whilst the spa room was well equipped with balcony, decent bedding and coffee facilities, there was a distinctive mouldy smell pervading the room. The bathroom had large spots of mould on ceiling, on the back of the door and under the sink. The room servicing was inadequate....

We stayed overnight in a garden view room complete with a dinner and breakfast package. After hiking all day from Binna Burra arriving in a beautifully appointed room was wonderful. Food at the restaurant was amazing and plentiful and service was exceptional - thank you to our waiter Ryan. Relaxing in the library after dinner with a glass of red...

The setting and the villa accommodation was beautiful. O'Reilly's originally had modest accommodation within their homestead. In the last number of years, they have offered beautiful villas which is where we stayed for three nights for almost $2,000.00. We believe that the service still is at the same standard you would expect for their more modest accommodation. Several things occurred...

Cairns, Australia

Hello O'Reilly's Rainforest Retreat team,

My best friend is getting married mid May 2017 and I was hoping to plan her girls getaway the week before her and her partner tie the knot. We were hoping to enjoy a relaxing weekend of day trekking, nature watching and catching up over wine before the big day. I was looking into accomodation around the Lamington National Park region and your retreat looks very elegant with views that are simply breathtaking! I would love to find out more about the requirements and limitations of a weekend stay, and also ask more about the local activities you would recommend nearby.

Firstly, we would have around 15 people interested in coming. What accomodation could you recommend for us so we stay together as much as possible (self-catered villas perhaps). As we are quite an outdoorsy bunch, we would each have the capacity to roll out our own personal swags to cater for those not utilising the bedrooms. So my first question would be what would be your limitations for maximum number of guests. The length of stay we would like to be there for is 3 nights, potentially around Saturday 6th, Sunday 7th and Monday 8th of May, however we would be flexible for two days before or after if those dates are unavailable.

Secondly, we would love to do as many outdoor activities as possible, so I was hoping to get an idea of local guides/companies you could recommend for trekking and nature watching that is in close proximity to the house, and any other interesting things you think would be good for our group size. Thank you so very much for your time and consideration, I would welcome a personal message with a reply sent here or via email if possible. I look forward to hearing back from you.

Kind regards,

Samantha Barnett
