Spent a lovely week at this homely guesthouse on the banks of the Kyle of Lochalsh. The couple who run it could not be more helpful or welcoming. The twin room I stayed in was spacious with an en suite bathroom. The price on September was £32 per night B&B ,considerably less than accommodation on the Isle of Skye itself....

Very comfortable room with an outstanding view of Eilean Donan Castle. Evening meals available and drinks in Dornie village, a short walk away, with recommendation leaning towards the pub Our hosts were very friendly, and most importantly, the breakfasts were outstanding.

I recently stayed here for one night with a colleague through work so I wouldn't normally bother commenting on a hotel booked through the company, however I feel the severity of rudeness and ignorance of these people needs to be noted, if for nothing else to warn my fellow man. I don't feel the excuse given by the owner; having...

I stayed in this place for one night and it was the worst experience I've ever had in my life (age 40). Owners areextremely rude and unfriendly. Checked in around 6pm, Lady Owner gave a card to fill in for breakfast choice and asked me to bring it once filled. Few minutes later she knocked on the door and asked...

Nice, clean and good sized rooms where Eilean Donan can be seen from the room. Good breakfast with premium juice and press coffee. 10 minutes walk to Dornie where the food at the pub were excellent. The walk across the bridge to Dornie provide good photo opportunities. The £1 fee for wifi was a contribution to charity, to which I...

I booked the Caberfeidh guest house for myself (later my wife and daughter joined) primarily due to its location near Eilean Donan castle, as I'm a photography and wanted to be close for sunrise and sunset shooting. Having read some of the negative reviews, I was prepared to have to "grin and bear it" but the reality was much different...

Just to start off, we have really high standards and we regularly visit quality hotels and b&bs. We were a little apprehensive after some of the reviews on here, but were really really pleasantly surprised with Caberfeidh. We were greeted and shown to our room with the minimum of fuss. The room was plenty big enough for myself, my husband...

Don't waste your time. There are many B and B option in just a small stretch of road. The inn keepers were fickle and not so forgiving. There were many issues that arose while staying here. When leaving Edinburgh, we allotted 4.5 hours, as the directions said 4. We were late since the roads were very curvey and we were...

We booked this place without doing any research beforehand, because at that time, both of us were extremely busy with work to get everything done before the holiday (this could be our false - but anyway, this review is for this place, regardless of our situation before booking). We rang to book a room and tell the guy on the...

OK, so it's nice and close to the castle and handy for Skye. Period. The house itself is a basic old building, as you might expect. The breakfast is plain and unimaginative but edible. But whoa, hold that ridiculous moaning and groaning or stop doing b and b! Being treated like school kids wasn't fun. I came very close to...
