After riding most of the day on a CIE tour bus, we stopped for the night at this hotel. It was spotless with a good sized room. We were in a wing that at been redecorated or added (not sure which). Patio doors allowed for a view of the water across the street. There is not much else in this...

This hotel is on the main road to Skye and well placed location wise for heading further north to Skye or the western isles for the ferry. It faces a loch so can be very tranquil (when it's not gale force winds and pouring rain). The hotel itself is well maintained and very clean, beds very comfortable and freebie toiletries....

My wife and I stayed at the Balmacara Hotel in Aug. As a walk in around 7pm, we were quoted a room rate of £128 B&B for a twin with Loch view. We had dinner in the hotel that night (£48), which was good as was the breakfast. The view was lovely and good car parking, however, the room left...

This older property is situated directly on the beach with great views. It has all of the amenities including a bar and excellent restaurant. The rooms are clean and quaint and the service staff are efficient and friendly. It's well managed and located close to important local points of interest. Enjoy.

The room...

The best parts of this hotel were 1) the bathroom - big and good lighting, and 2) the breakfasts (served buffet style). My single room was a bit small with a single bed pushed up against the wall so every time I turned over I hit the wall.

We loved the room and the windows that opened up directly to let the night breeze come in over the loch. Food was just so-so compared to the excellent fare we had elsewhere, and the shower was probably the worst shower either of us experienced in Scotland. Why is it that a country with so much water can't get the...

As in Skye was almost everything full, this hotel which is just in front of the island was also too expensive for what it is. The room was big and with nice views but a bit worn out, it needs a bit of renovation or cheaper prices.

Very hospitable friendly staff, clean well appointed rooms. Lovely view towards the water. Great value nice breakfast only complaint a young waitress had very noisy shoes spoils the tranquility. This Hotel is on the main road leading up to the bridge of the Isle if Skye about 10 minutes before.
