Spring Sunny Hotel Nagoya Tokoname is one of the three or four business hotel options in Tokoname which was a good option to be near the airport for an early morning flight. The building is a bit old but it's just a few steps from Tokoname Station. The staff were efficient and they had a handout with some basic information in English ready. There is a bath available during most hours in the basement but it was quite small being large enough for maybe three persons. The room was spacious and the bed was large for Japanese business hotel standards. There isn't much immediately near the hotel except the Aeon Mall which is about 20 minute walk away. Other than the weak WiFi, not a bad option if arriving late or leaving early from Nagoya Airport.

This hotel is located on the other side of the rotary when you get off at Tokoname Station.
There is a convenience store on the other side of the intersection from the hotel, so it is convenient.
The hotel is relatively new and spacious overall.
I went to the front desk on the first floor to check in...the front desk staff were generally very friendly.
I was given a card key and breakfast voucher and headed to my room.
The room was spacious (I was in a twin room for single use), the bathroom and toilet were normal, the amenities and other facilities in the room were also normal, and the slippers were not disposable.
The bed was normal, the nightgown was a robe, and the pillow was generally good.
The large public bath was on the first basement floor (there is only one large public bath).
Breakfast was a buffet with a decent variety.
It seemed that most of the hotel staff and guests were from neighboring large countries.

The hotel is clean, although very very dated. We stayed here as we had an early flight to catch, else we would not have chosen this place. It is just 2 stops away from the airport and 10 mins taxi ride.
The town is dead. There is nothing around. Restaurants are also few and we had trouble finding dinner.

Just an overnight stay near the Chubu Airport for us. The check-in was quick and easy, but was informed the checkout time was 10AM. The hotel seems to be an older building with renovated rooms. The room size is quite large, good for repacking the luggage before departure. Besides the size of the room, nothing was very pleasant, the room just felt dirty overall. The worst part being the bathroom, its small relative to the room size, and the bath drain was very slow, my feet were submerged in the middle of the shower. For the breakfast, although they had a large variety, but the taste was quite bad; its catered towards Mainland Chinese flavors. Won't be staying here ever again.

Packed with busloads of conducted tour group members and aircon not working

Checked in on Nov 4 2023. Room (1004) was blowing hot air. Front desk's response was "clusters of rooms share a temperature system so if one room switches on the heater, the other rooms in the cluster would not have air-conditioning" - an utterly unacceptable situation. Front desk refused to do anything about it and the person on duty said "I have no answer for you" when I requested for solutions. Persuaded him to visit my room; that's when he agreed that it was hot and offered to provide a fan, an offer I rejected. Asked to speak to hotel manager but he refused to see me. It was only after being told that I would commence legal proceedings against the hotel did front desk reluctantly moved me to a room with air-conditioning that works. Next morning at breakfast, with busloads of people in a feeding frenzy, I learned that this is a hotel on contract with tour groups, hence the laxity in standards. The hotel's only saving grace is its proximity to a train station. Spring Sunny Hotel Nagoya Tokoname operates more like a dorm, not a hotel.

The property is large, so the rooms are spacious. However, the amenities are those of a business hotel. The breakfast is only slightly better than that of a business hotel. It seems that the room was smoking-friendly, but it is rare to find a room that smells so much of cigarette smoke. Nowadays, allowing smoking in the lobby of a hotel is outdated. It is convenient to the airport, so it is convenient for those who have late-night or early-morning flights and cannot get a hotel directly connected to the airport. However, because it is close to the airport, there are many groups of people from the mainland. It is worth staying if you don't mind loud mainlanders.

The rooms were huge, clean, and comfortable. Staff was efficient. Now the cool part. The Tokoname Train Station is right across the street (so easy access to the airport etc). In that train station there is a Tourist Info Center. Go there, grab a map of the town and take the Historic Pottery Walking Tour, which is 10 minutes down the road. How quaint and cute and other adjectives to describe this tour! It was a surprise and a delight.

My stay was linked to crowded GP F1 event at Suzuka Circuit. To avoid high hotel prices builded up for that event I've looked for a convenient option considering commuting to Suzuka and distance from the airport. Therefore, AU Tokoname is all that. One stop fast train from airport (15min), 40min train to Nagoya and 1.5hrs train from Suzuka trough Nagoya. The railways in Japan are so sufficient that I've felt my 1.5hrs to Suzuka Circuit less troublesome than 5km taxi drive in Jakarta which takes an hour and costs almost the same. Hotel is close to train station which is convenient when packed with handling loads of bags. The rooms are spacious with en-suite bathrooms; Aircon and tv. No minibar but plugged fridge and the water boiler. No restaurant or bar in the evenings and no room service but the wending machine with soft drinks and beer.the microwave is available for heating up the food. Across is the 24hrs store where take-away food is available.Although all these, the another option is to 'home deliver' if you know Japanese and understand the online menus. Moreover,a short walk leads to Japanese local restaurant. Hotel makes available the japanese style sauna and massage, which you have to prebook. Breakfast is available on additional payment but the hotel staff takes for grated that you want to have it so tell that you're not taking it as, otherwise they shall count it to your bill. Staff do not speak good English so be prepared to know some Japanese basics. Place is good value for money.

Stayed here because it was close to airport and affordable so I wasn't expecting much. But turned out to be really cool hotel. Convenient, clean and extremely affordable. Breakfast buffet is a must.

Not too far from the airport and aeon mall Tokoname.

We spent a night at the Hotel AU Tokoname after an evening arrival at NGO. The hotel is easily accessible across from the Tokoname rail station (which is the first stop on all the express trains leaving NGO airport.) It was a typical Japanese business hotel room: small but well-organized and clean. The staff spoke functional English, and they were very accommodating and helpful (even after we foolishly locked the room key inside the room.)

For the price it was an excellent value and I would recommend the Hotel AU to friends needing a Nagoya airport stopover.
