I stayed here for a couple of nights recently in a single room. The price I paid was so very cheap (less than £40 a night with breakfast) as it was a last minute booking. I wasn't expecting much at all for that but how wrong I was. When I drove up to this beautiful old building I was instantly... More

The Old Rectory is in a quiet location in it's own grounds so a good nights sleep is pretty much assured. The buidling itself is very old but well appointed with a bar and separate lounge. Our own room was large, individualy decorated and was spotlessly clean with it's own mini bar. The evening menu is a bit limited but... More

Was instantly impressed with the building and grounds both inside and out. The charm and character of the building have been beautifully maintained. My room was charming comfortable and had everything I wanted including wifi. The young lady on reception seemed to be ran off her feet serving the bar and waitressing too but very efficiently. My evening meal was... More

Enjoyed our night at the Old Rectory. Suite was a really good size and well appointed with period furniture. Lovely bay windows overlooking the grounds. Member of staff we dealt with was very welcoming and helpful. Note the restaurant isn't open on a Monday though.

Lovely hotel, food superb, we had room 3 a Luxury room, very disappointed with the shower as it only trickled out of the shower head, could not have a bath as there was no plug for the bath, why not put a power shower in every room which would solve the problems. On the Saturday night there was a charity... More

Having booked via another website and with less than 48hrs notice I needed to change the date of visit. The website would not let me make changes without incurring a charge so I called the hotel direct. They were able to accommodate my request and no extra charges were made and with no fuss :) We arrived at the hotel... More

Stayed for two nights whilst attending graduation at RAF Shawbury. Our room was rather small 'cosy' is the word for a twin.Dark green wallpaper didn't help.Bathroom fittings getting past it but adequate.Bath is small with no handle grips so had to shower which was feeble but managed. The gardens and surroundings are well kept. There is a permanent marquee at the side... More

Beautiful old building with extensions and ideal for holding a special event. Lovely gardens well maintained. Only stayed one night unfortunately but all Staff friendly and welcoming with nothing too much trouble. Ate in the Orangery and food very good although you have to wait a bit longer as its cooked from fresh. Small Bar and a really lovely Drawing... More

Extremely nice looking hotel set in beautiful grounds. The room was really nice, although slightly outdated decor, this may have been part of the look of the hotel. Staff were absolutely fantastic. Bed very comfortable and room was very clean. Food was nice and well priced and the bar prices also reasonable. Would certainly recommend this hotel!
