We arrived at the chateau for one night only and extended twice, staying eventually for six! That really says it all! We were very fortunate to catch that vacancy just ahead of the main season. Breakfasts served by gentlemanly Alain or by smiling Michelle were high on the sunny terrace looking down 20m from what was once the rampart of...

The quality and warmth of the welcome reflect the beauty of the house and the magnificent view from the terrace over the Albera mountain range (Massif des Albères) The extremely spacious rooms are furnished with exquisite taste and refinement, and are equipped with all a demanding guest could need. The owners are a mine of information on the local area,...

What a delightful stay: also, in the Collioure Suite. A very comfortable room and lovely breakfasts on the terrace with fresh bread and croissants augmented by Michele's home made jams and yougourt. Alain not only knows the local area thoroughly, but has a wealth of guide books, maps and suggestions which he is ready to loan and to talk through....

We spent four nights at Chateau d'Ortaffa in the Collioure suite for our second visit to the region. Our hosts Alain and Michelle were charming and intelligent and gave us the warmest of welcomes. Their home is intriguing and filled with art and a wide range of interesting artefacts. A mine of information on the locality - sites of historical...

We used le Chateau as a base for exploring the local area. Highlights were the breakfasts (including tasty homemade jam), the terrace with views of the village rooftops / Pyrenees and the friendly and knowledgeable hosts Michelle and Alan

We were there for two nights because we wanted to visit Collioure and did n't want to stay in the turistic bustle of that town. Ortaffa was a great and wonderful alternative. it was like coming home after a day full of stress. The B&B is an unique one, The rooms are decorated with good taste. There is a lot...

I spent 4 nights with my fiancee at Chateau d'Ortaffa and we were absolutely charmed by this gem. We loved the 900 years old building, all the nice art objects inside, but more than this our stay here was delightful thanks to the hosts who made us feel right at home. They had good recommendations for us, make sure you...

Alain and Michelle, the best of hosts, made the stay at this beautiful old Chateau most enjoyable. Their insights and knowledge of the local areas provided excellent dining and visits over our six day stay in both the Collioure and Baroque rooms, the later to be preferred for a longer stay. Nothing was a problem for the hosts and many...

Beautiful chateau with lots of history located in a relaxing setting; very nice views of the countryside. The interior is so charming and filled with lots of interesting antiques. Michelle and Alain were great hosts! They served a delicious breakfast and gave us a very good recommendation for dinner at a nearby restaurant. Unfortunately we could only stay for one...
