My family and I had another great year skiing at TSV and another great stay at the Austing Haus. As always, Bobby and his staff provided excellent service. The breakfast is always good and plentiful and provided a good start to the morning. Luckily Bobby did not have to help us air up tires and get our car unstuck like... More

I'm pretty new to writing reviews but when looking for places to stay I always use TripAdvisor as a resource. Given the recent reviews for Austin Haus I was definitely rolling the dice when booking our week-long ski trip. We arrived late our first night and Phelipe (who does most of the work) was a tremendous help in getting us... More

We stayed for four days of skiing at Taos. The location was great (just a short drive to the ski area) and the breakfast was really great. Philepe (? on spelling of his name) went out his way to make us feel at home with great restaurant recommendations and special touchs in the room. However, the hotel has several problems... More

Last spring a group of 8 of stayed at the Austing Haus. One of our friends had a rare form of altitude sickness and had to cancel his entire trip. I spoke with the off-site manager on his behalf to see if they would issue any type of refund. He explained that in the contract the no cancellation policy was... More

Stayed here again for a boy's weekend. Its location is almost perfect if you don't want to have to drive down the mountain after a long day of skiing. This is probably the 4th time we stayed here. It's certainly not modern or updated or even terribly clean but it works as long as you know what you're getting. T... More

This was our first time to stay in TSV and with Austing Haus. Never again will I pay the money they charged us for a place lacking SO MUCH. I grew up in NM & the beautiful Sangre De Cristo Mountains. I love to camp, backpack, fish and hike and generally rough it. I was also raised to appreciate the... More

I've never been more disgusted and disappointed by a hotel (using this word liberally), and I've traveled extensively around the world and stayed in some rough places. Please notice the good reviews aremostly from a year ago. Also several families run this hotel together now, so some may be better than others. Regardless they are putting no money into this... My 2 adult children and I along with 2 friends stayed at the Austing Haus for 4 nights from 12/31/15-1/4/16. We absolutely loved this B&B!!! It was charming and completely enjoyable. Beth checked us in about 5 pm & gave us some great restaurant tips for dinner on the mountain as well as entertainment for New Years Eve. We were... More

This establishment is poorly maintained. The heater was broken in our room, and the room and floors were dirty. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. The manager did not take responsibility for making things right. We have stayed in many Taos hotels over the years, and this is the only bad experience we've ever had.
